I provide queer/hetero/poly/monog/ENM/ace/kink-friendly counseling and strive to create a welcoming environment for all.
I'm trained in evidence-based methods including ACT, CBT, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy. Together we can build skills (e.g. mindfulness, communication, self-compassion) to make life easier while working to gain insight and break out of old patterns. I use humor (appropriately, mostly) and give direct feedback with compassion.

Taking the first step toward healing can feel overwhelming, especially when addiction, childhood trauma, or attachment wounds are part of your story. As a physician providing integrated psychiatric and psychotherapeutic care, I help adults understand and heal the deeper patterns driving emotional distress and substance use. My work focuses on addiction and relational trauma that often underlie anxiety, depression, and relationship struggles. Using an attachment-focused approach with EMDR therapy, I support meaningful, lasting change in a collaborative, unhurried, and respectful space that honors your pace.

Having lived both in the U.S. and abroad, I’m familiar with the unpredictability of life and the importance of having tools that help us tell our story and build resilience. I am open to clients experiencing a wide range of concerns and have experience addressing challenges related to depression, anxiety, ADHD, religious trauma, family conflict, relationship challenges, and PTSD. My therapy style draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) techniques to help clients stay grounded in the present, clarify their values, and actively pursue the life they want.

I'm a queer & trans clinician, parent, and Southerner from a working class background.
People usually come to therapy when something feels difficult enough that they can't keep handling it alone, or when the cost of things staying the same starts to feel too high. A relationship feels stuck, anxiety is taking over, old wounds are resurfacing, life feels heavy. Maybe you’re carrying things you’ve never felt you could say out loud. My goal is to create a space where you can be honest about what's happening and where we can work together to understand and change the patterns underneath it.

I primarily work with LGBTQIA+ adults navigating ADHD and/or autism, anxiety, trauma, or life transitions.
It can feel overwhelming to be a human these days. You're trying to hold everything together in the present while healing from the past and building your future. The "This is fine" meme might be feeling a little too real lately. All the while, you're trying to live your life, keep up with work or college, make sense of your experiences and who you are, maintain and improve your relationships, and break free from painful memories, emotions, or patterns. If you're feeling stuck, burnt out, anxious, or unsure how to move forward, you don't have to figure it out on your own.

Years ago, I visited Ghana where I was introduced to a symbol called the “Sankofa.” The Sankofa translates to “go back and fetch” and symbolizes the importance of looking to the past in order to reclaim lost strength and wisdom. As a therapist, this deeply resonates with me. Often, parts of our past can feel too painful or overwhelming to revisit so we avoid them and do our best to “move on”. However, I’ve seen that even some of life’s most difficult experiences can also become sources of strength, growth, and a deeper understanding of ourselves.

Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, self-aware adults who want to deepen their understanding of themselves and their relationships. They may feel stuck in patterns that once helped them survive but no longer serve the life they want to build. Are you ready to look inward and gain insight into your behavioral patterns? Are you curious about the parts of yourself that developed to protect you and whether they still need to lead? Are you hoping to relax more, experience pleasure more freely, and feel more at home in your body?

I believe that my skill set enables me to work with individuals and families experiencing a variety of issues and I strive to provide culturally competent and non-judgmental care to a variety of clients including those in the BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities.
My practice is informed by a few basic beliefs: I believe that people are doing the best that they can with the resources they have available to them; I believe with adequate support and guidance, we all have the ability to develop new skills and reach our potential; and I believe that therapy is grounded in a trusting relationship, which is enhanced by my clinical knowledge. My approach combines multiple modalities to tailor treatment to your individual needs and is rooted in the understanding that my ability to adapt is key to you achieving success. I enjoy working with individuals and families, as well as adolescents and parents.

I'm a queer trauma therapist with a background in anti-sexual violence work and healthcare chaplaincy.
I approach my work through an anti-oppressive and trauma-informed lens. I draw from DBT, somatic experiencing, and IFS, among other modalities, and customize my approach to each individual client. My goal is for my clients to feel seen, validated, and fully supported in showing up as their perfectly imperfect selves.
