As a Christian Therapist at The Seed Planter Coaching & Counseling, PLLC, I help Christian women and girls ages 13+ with challenges related to anxiety, depression, anger, low self-esteem, ADHD, rejection, guilt, shame, self-worth, and stress.
Many Christians believe that they are not suppose to go through emotional issues or get angry. Some feel they cannot talk with church leadership, friends or acquaintances out of fear of being judged or disapproved of. I educate and equip women with tools to overcome emotional challenges to begin the healing process.

Let's conquer the anxiety, depression, anger, and stress.
Struggling with fatherhood? Having a hard time communicating with your wife? Is it getting harder to keep it all in? Trusting others, even in therapy, can feel risky. Like showing emotion is a weakness. I get it. As men, we are taught to lead our families, stay strong, and hold it all together. But doubt, stress, and pressure can quietly wear you down. You deserve a space to be real- no fluff, no BS. My goal is to help you take care of you and become the man you’re proud to be. Let’s build the life you want. Stop waiting for change. Let's talk.

I work with all ranges of concerns from anger to suicidal thoughts, offering a safe environment where concerns can be addressed, managed and behaviors can be modified to improve the life of the child and family.
Peaceful family dinners, homework turned in on time, chores done without reminders. No fighting or yelling. Sounds amazing I know. I cannot promise any of that, but I can open up a space for kids, teens and parents to have conversations about what your family needs to feel love and peace. Yelling, shutting down, self-harm, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, all of that, is felt on the inside and by those around you. Kids often ask for help in hurtful ways when they are hurting on the inside. Teens will likely not acknowledge you or the pain. Come as you are. I embrace all with a warm heart, an open ear and with hot chocolate :)

Do you have anger issues?
My style of therapy is direct, and firm, however, still respectful, and compassionate. My approach will challenge the way you think, and challenge your awareness of your feelings. I will support you to forgive yourself emotionally regarding experiences that were traumatic, painful, overwhelming, confusing, and toxic.

I am a very laid-back clinician who encourages clients to feel at ease and have no fear of biases and judgment. I insist that you talk the way you would to a friend and not feel embarrassed. I ask you what you would like to work on, and I then give them my impression of the information you have provided me and what I feel could also benefit you.

There has been numerous types of complaints I have engaged with clients in treatment, though some of my specialties include relational distress (couples/families), self-esteem/confidence concerns, anger management, low moods, anxieties, and trauma-stress related issues.
Do you find yourself struggling with overthinking, relationship satisfaction, or relieving past hurts or scary moments? Please know that you don't have to go through this. Establishing treatment with the goal to manage these symptoms, and in many cases eliminate the symptom is within reach. To wake up feeling light and burdensome free, without past hurts shadowing over your present is reason enough to establish care.

Anger Management Therapists

How long does therapy take for anger management?

Treatment duration depends on the person’s specific challenges and circumstances. There are treatments for anger problems that are shorter and more goal-oriented, like Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which can last weeks to months. Others, like Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) may last between six months and a year, while a more intensive treatment, like psychodynamic therapy, is open-ended, and clients may see their therapist for a year or longer.

How do you know if you need therapy for anger management?

Everyone gets mad from time to time. But when angry outbursts become frequent and cause damage to relationships, whether at home or in the office, it may be a good time to look into therapy. A therapist can assess where a client’s anger may be coming from, suggest strategies for averting angry outbursts, and help a client create a plan to become a calmer version of themselves.

Is there medication for anger management?

Medications do exist that help people mitigate the feeling of anger, but these are reserved for people with anger-related psychiatric disorders, such as intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or in some cases borderline personality disorder. In these cases, antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help with the client’s symptoms. In most cases of anger management, however, talk therapy is the recommended treatment, along with lifestyle changes where relevant.

What’s the best way to encourage someone to seek help for anger issues?

It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either themselves or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
