The client-therapist rapport is a potent common factor in therapy success. You want to feel comfortable opening up and sharing your truths. Have you found yourself struggling with a change in your life that has left you feeling uncomfortable with your current emotional state. I offer a place to clear your head, organize your thoughts, and express your feelings without judgement. Give yourself permission to pause, process and then progress.

True, genuine, and lasting change cannot occur without being vulnerable. Vulnerability can be daunting; especially when sharing personal, uncomfortable, and deep issues with another person. As your therapist, my non-judgmental, empathic, and supportive role helps create a safe atmosphere. Being vulnerable in the context of a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship, while building skills will increase your ability to expand resources needed to effectively deal with problems, difficulties, and challenges life may present to you.

When I was a defiant and moody adolescent, my parents sought therapy for me. The therapy room was place in which I felt understood. I was able to learn great insight into how I think and understanding others' perspectives. It was through that experience that I was inspired to create an environment for others that was both validating and encouraging. I try to establish a therapeutic relationship that enables each person to make progress with their goals, whether it be their self-esteem, interpersonal relationships, managing challenging emotions, or getting through an especially challenging life event.

I currently have a waitlist for new Telehealth clients until Jan. 2023 - Any number of barriers could impede peak performance. Anxiety, burnout, injury, external pressures, and trauma are but a few of the challenges my clients regularly face. Any one of these factors can lead to feelings of disappointment, dissatisfaction, and/or diminished self-esteem. Sometimes, my clients are unaware of the underlying mechanisms contributing to performance breakdown, distress, or loss of enjoyment in sport/performance. This can lead to maladaptive behaviors and beliefs that perpetuate a debilitative cycle.

Much of my work has been centered around helping folks with self esteem , acceptance, coping skills, psychoeducation, navigating identity, and major life changes.
Accepting New Clients - Some things in life can feel really big and overwhelming. Working with a therapist can help you develop skills to make those 'big' things feel much less daunting. Taking a person-centered, humanistic approach to therapy is important because everybody has a unique story, identity, culture, and goal. As your therapist, my role is to help you discover what works for YOU, in the context of your own life. I am here to help you unpack, understand, heal, grow, and ultimately build your own 'life toolbox' to use when things feel really big again.

Self Esteem Therapists
Self-esteem lives on a spectrum: Not enough self-regard (or low self esteem) can lead people to become depressed, or to tolerate abusive situations and relationships. Too much self-love (or high self-esteem), results in an off-putting sense of entitlement and an inability to learn from failure. And it's occasionally a sign of clinical narcissism. Quite the opposite of being shy or shyness, yet still on the same spectrum.
