Transitions may come in the form of divorce, grief, job loss, health concerns, or parenting status changes.
My approach to therapy is highly collaborative. To this end, I highlight insight-oriented, interpersonal, and psychodynamic therapies. I also have training in EMDR, HeartMath, and meditation. These somatic approaches often complement traditional talk therapy. Thus, I work with clients to identify the approaches best meeting their strengths and goals.

I have twelve years experience as a therapist specializing in trauma, grief, anxiety and eating disorders.
I help women ditch negative body image and eating disorders to feel more freedom, confidence and joy. My clients are highly sensitive, resilient people who are tired of binging, food restriction, over-exercise, and low self-esteem. Despite all their accomplishments and self-help efforts they can't turn off their thoughts and perfectionism. They worry about the impact it's having on their relationships, work and kids. They're tired of the food noise and body shame. They want to feel more alive and happy in life without relying on their pants size to dictate their worth. They are ready to address the deeper issues holding them back.

As a psychologist, I work with individuals to help them live their lives more fully and authentically. Hello! I am a registered art therapist and licensed clinical mental health counselor with a creative and person-centered approach. You do not have to be an artist to benefit from art therapy. In fact, some of the most profound shifts I have witnessed have occurred with people who do not identify as artistic in any way. You are simply asked to bring a sense of openness and curiosity to our collaboration, where you will be invited to be active in setting the pace and goals of our work together. My philosophy is that art and creativity facilitate insight, growth, and healing.

Life has a way of molding us into the person we had to be instead of the person we actually are. If you grew up with emotionally immature parents, you likely learned to shrink yourself or become the “reasonable one” while the adults acted like toddlers. Now, you're stuck in old patterns—choosing relationships that feel eerily familiar, doubting your needs, saddling yourself with responsibility for everyone else's joy while feeling chronically inadequate. It’s frustrating as hell, especially when you know what’s happening but can’t seem to shift it. Therapy with me is about dismantling the old M.O. and consciously choosing YOU.

Grief Therapists
How long does therapy take for grief?
There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.
When should you seek therapy for grief?
Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.
Can grief be managed without therapy?
Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.
What happens if grief is left untreated?
Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
