I believe that it is important to vent to a “professionally trained friend” outside of your normal circle to receive the proper intervention and assistance you need in order to progress & flourish. I view therapy as a ball of yarn being untangled where the yarn signifies your thoughts. Are you a mom, currently pregnant, or just recently given birth? You may have feelings of anxiety, hopelessness, depressed mood, and need whole health management. Are you a teen/young adult, or adult that needs to work through stress and anxiety, trauma, healthy relationships, set boundaries, or work on self-esteem? I am here to help you untangle.

Do you lack confidence in who you are and what you have to offer? Maybe you find it hard to ask for what you want and be assertive. You might carry feelings of guilt, shame, powerlessness, disconnection to self and others. I get it. I know the feeling. And I'm inspired by you being here. How beautiful is it that no matter the pain we've trudged through to get here, there's still a part of us whispering: I matter. I deserve love & peace & healing. I am more than the story I've been told. It might be hard to believe that part of you, if you grew up in a home or endured an experience that told you otherwise.

The client-therapist rapport is a potent common factor in therapy success. You want to feel comfortable opening up and sharing your truths. Have you found yourself struggling with a change in your life that has left you feeling uncomfortable with your current emotional state. I offer a place to clear your head, organize your thoughts, and express your feelings without judgement. Give yourself permission to pause, process and then progress.

I view the therapy experience as a directed partnership where strategies are used to directly impact the areas of your life that are distressing to you. Whether it is depression, self-esteem issues, anxiety, problems in marriages, work situations, and many other problems we face and no matter if you are in a dark and difficult place right now, therapy can make a dramatic difference. Incorporating new or different understanding with continual application of new approaches, your emotions, thoughts and very life can be better and more enriching than you might realize. I look forward to hearing from you.

When I was a defiant and moody adolescent, my parents sought therapy for me. The therapy room was place in which I felt understood. I was able to learn great insight into how I think and understanding others' perspectives. It was through that experience that I was inspired to create an environment for others that was both validating and encouraging. I try to establish a therapeutic relationship that enables each person to make progress with their goals, whether it be their self-esteem, interpersonal relationships, managing challenging emotions, or getting through an especially challenging life event.

Self Esteem Therapists
Self-esteem lives on a spectrum: Not enough self-regard (or low self esteem) can lead people to become depressed, or to tolerate abusive situations and relationships. Too much self-love (or high self-esteem), results in an off-putting sense of entitlement and an inability to learn from failure. And it's occasionally a sign of clinical narcissism. Quite the opposite of being shy or shyness, yet still on the same spectrum.
