Seasons of life come and go and with each season comes new challenges. Many times, turning the page to the next chapter is difficult. While serving in pastoral ministry for over 10 years, I've had the privilege to witness many individuals and couples turn the page and experience the life that God desires for them. You can be all that God has created you to be and you can experience life abundantly. Sometimes we just need a little help reaching goals and working through situations and circumstances. I want to help you find the abundant life and turn the page to your next chapter.

Navigating life's journey can be overwhelming. For over twenty years, it has been my privilege to meet people where they are and partner with them in difficult seasons. It is my experience that having someone to share your burdens can often provide healing and the courage to seek physical, mental, and spiritual wellness.

My therapeutic approach encourages personal growth and provides opportunities for clients to learn information and skills to help them find a more balanced, meaningful life. I believe that the clients are the true experts in their lives, so I work with my client to establish a treatment plan that is specific to their identified needs and goals. I believe there is no “one size fits all” form of therapy. I pull from a variety of modalities so that I can tailor treatment to your specific needs. As a first-generation Asian American, I understand and have experienced mental health stigma.

You’re the one everyone counts on — at work, at home, in every crisis. The strong one. The successful one. But lately, it’s too much. Burnout is hitting hard. Even the smallest things feel overwhelming. You’ve done everything “right,” but you still feel like you’re falling apart. You might look calm on the outside, but inside you feel anxious, exhausted, and overwhelmed — like you’re constantly bracing for the next thing. You’ve pushed through for so long that burnout feels like your baseline. And now, even the usual coping tools just aren’t cutting it.

You have been the strong one for everyone else, but inside you feel worn out, anxious, or lost. Maybe trauma, perfectionism, or a harsh inner critic steals your peace. You can see a better life in the distance but cannot seem to reach it. You long to feel whole again and reconnect with who you are beyond motherhood, teaching, or silent struggles. Deep down, you want to live fully, not just survive, and finally breathe without fear or shame. We have a strong desire to help you LIVE, not just exist! There is more life available for you! We want to help you find it.

Do you ever feel like you’re carrying the weight of everything but still feel unseen or misunderstood? It’s hard to explain the anxiety, the overthinking, or why simple things feel so heavy. There’s a desire for peace, clarity, and a space to just be without judgment or pressure to perform. You want to feel heard, accepted, and supported while figuring out who you are and where you're going. Healing doesn’t have to look one way you’re seeking connection, creativity, and a space that feels safe enough to grow, at your own pace, in your own way.

If you’re feeling anxious, depressed, struggling with relationships, going through a life transition, or dealing with loss, there’s a supportive space for you here. In addition to individuals, I love working with couples that seem to have lost their "spark" and desire deeper understanding and connection. My aim is to help people explore who they are and what gives them value. Using a systemic lens, I want to look at the big picture of your life; Exploring family dynamics and patterns of hurts and losses to understand how to heal.

Self Esteem Therapists
When should a person seek therapy for low self-esteem?
When self-esteem problems begin to disrupt the healthy daily functioning of an individual, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If a person finds that they are not engaging with friends for fear of being judged, not completing work assignments because they don’t think they’re capable, or not finding romantic love because they don’t feel they’re worthy of it, a therapist may be able to help.

What are the signs of low self-esteem?
Low self-esteem is a common issue that can affect a person's mental and emotional well-being. Some common signs of low self-esteem include negative self-talk, perfectionism, social anxiety, difficulty making decisions, an inability to set boundaries, people-pleasing, and others. A lack of belief in oneself or one’s abilities and a feeling of not being worthy or deserving underlie most of these characteristics.

What causes low self-esteem?
Feelings of low self-worth can begin in childhood or adulthood. Being raised by a highly critical parent or growing up feeling constant disapproval can stay with a person well into adulthood. Specific issues in adulthood may also be a cause of low self-esteem. An unhappy relationship, a dysfunctional work or school experience can impact a person’s feelings of self-worth.

How can therapy improve self-esteem?
Therapists can help identify negative thought patterns that keep the client stuck in a loop of destructive self-talk and develop coping skills to change the voice in their head. A therapist can help with goal-setting, so that clients are better able to stay on task and build confidence from successfully completing work they’re proud of. Coaching a client on how to better communicate can improve relationships. These skills can result in someone with low self-esteem feeling empowered and living with less fear.
