Asking for help is difficult, but it is also one of the most courageous acts a person can take. I understand that difficulty and strive to greet you with the warmth, empathy, and acceptance that you deserve. Working with and supporting people is at the heart of who I am and what I do, and I believe that an authentic relationship is essential for successful outcomes.

Sometimes we know something isn’t working in our lives—but we’re not sure how to fix it. Maybe you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck in unhelpful patterns, struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, experiencing relationship challenges, or going through a major life transition. Whatever brings you here, your needs—your why—are at the heart of the work we'll do together. I’m a goal-focused therapist who believes therapy should be active and collaborative—not just sitting on a couch talking about problems. Together, we’ll identify what’s getting in your way and build practical tools to help you move forward.

One size fits all is crap, just crap. I try to get to know someone as an individual. My goal is to create a comfortable space and ask questions to encourage someone to explore. I like thinking outside the box and being interactive with therapy. I have found the traditional idea of therapy makes me want to vomit and that is not what you will find here.

If parenting your child or teen feels tense, exhausting, or like you're stuck in the same battles on repeat, you are not alone. I am a mother, therapist, and owner of Kindred Pediatric & Family Therapy. I understand how rewarding, yet overwhelming parenting can be. The meltdowns. The power struggles. The guilt. The worry. And over time we may even start to wonder if our child is the only one struggling. The good news is you're not the only parent who's ever felt this way - but just knowing that doesn't change the difficult things you're facing daily with your child. That's where learning real, practical skills in therapy can help.

Most days feel heavy. You wake up already exhausted, your mind racing with worry, stress, or self-doubt. Work, relationships, health concerns, or burnout leave you feeling overwhelmed and alone. You may be neurodivergent, navigating chronic illness, or LGBTQIA+, and tired of feeling misunderstood. As someone with personal experience in these areas, I understand how isolating this can feel. You’re looking for therapy that feels safe and supportive without judgment, pressure, or expectations to “have it all figured out.” You want to feel more like yourself again, but aren’t sure where to start.

I work with children, teens, and families navigating ADHD, anxiety, behavioral concerns, school challenges, and big life transitions such as divorce, separation, and other changes within the family system.
In sessions, I use play therapy techniques to help children express themselves in ways that feel natural, build confidence, and develop healthier coping skills. I also draw from a narrative approach to help families understand their experiences in new ways and feel less defined by the struggles they are facing.

ADHD Therapists
When should I seek treatment for ADHD?
You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?
Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

Are there specific medications for ADHD?
Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?
It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
