I also serve clients dealing with comorbid conditions such as anxiety, ADHD, depression, chronic pain, or PTSD.
I am a therapist who specializes in helping people heal their relationship with sleep and with themselves. I work with adults who are tired of feeling exhausted, wired, or stuck in worry at night, and who are ready to try a kinder, more science-based approach. In our work together, I combine evidence-based tools like CBT-I, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused strategies with a warm, collaborative style, so you feel supported rather than judged. My goal is to help you reclaim a healthy rhythm of rest, resilience, and renewal, and to feel more like yourself again in your days, not just your nights.

I'm grateful you're here. I commend you for taking the first step toward building a better relationship with yourself and deepening your self-awareness. Therapy is a wonderful gift to give to yourself. My ideal client is anyone at a crossroads in their life who is in need of a safe harbor. No struggle is too big or small, or layered or strange. I especially enjoy working with anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, trauma, life transitions, relational concerns, and the queer community. I am person-centered at my core and approach therapy from a feminist lens. I also like to implement aspects of mindfulness with my clients.

When you feel stuck or your coping strategies stop working, I provide a safe space for the collaborative work of healing. I view therapy like two people climbing separate mountains: while we are both hikers, my perspective allows me to see the rocky terrain or hidden paths on your mountain that might be hard to spot while you're climbing. As an expert on yourself, you bring the map; I provide the tools to help you navigate it more effectively.

I currently work with adults who are seeking to better understand themselves and their interactions with the world around them. Through counseling, I often support individuals who are neurodivergent, LGBTQ+, educators, college students/young adults, and individuals who are going through big life changes (changing careers, moving to a new town, changes in significant relationships). Through counseling I support individuals as they gain a stronger sense of themselves and a deeper understanding of the control that they have over their own life.

The clients I am most successful with are looking to enhance how they manage their stress and overall wellness in the areas Emotional, Physical, Social, Spiritual, Intellectual, Occupational, Financial and Environmental well-being. These clients look to develop their executive functioning skills and are often identified as neurodivergent or working through trauma. My "ideal" client is someone who has made the choice to start, restart, or continue their therapeutic journey. This is someone who is open to being vulnerable in the interest of personal growth. This client attends regular sessions as well as utilizes tools outside of our sessions to maximize growth potential. The "why" is not a requirement to start, but being open to learning more about yourself is. My sessions provide a space free from judgement where you can be your authentic self.

I am an experienced therapist working with young people. My main goal is that the person I am working with feels respected and that we can work toward a trusting relationship. I enjoy working with clients who have chronic or life changing medical diagnoses, disordered eating, grief and loss, are seeking gender affirming care, or need some support around anxiety, depression, or adjustment to a major life change. I also love working with neurodivergent clients, in particular those who self recognize or are diagnosed later in life.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?
You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?
Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

Are there specific medications for ADHD?
Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?
It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
