In our work together, I combine evidence-based tools like CBT-I, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused strategies with a warm, collaborative style, so you feel supported rather than judged.
In our first session, my focus is on getting to know you and what brings you in, at a pace that feels comfortable. I will ask about your sleep, your daily routine, your health, and history with stress or mental health, and what you most hope will be different if therapy is helpful.

When you feel stuck or your coping strategies stop working, I provide a safe space for the collaborative work of healing. I view therapy like two people climbing separate mountains: while we are both hikers, my perspective allows me to see the rocky terrain or hidden paths on your mountain that might be hard to spot while you're climbing. As an expert on yourself, you bring the map; I provide the tools to help you navigate it more effectively.

I'm grateful you're here. I commend you for taking the first step toward building a better relationship with yourself and deepening your self-awareness. Therapy is a wonderful gift to give to yourself. My ideal client is anyone at a crossroads in their life who is in need of a safe harbor. No struggle is too big or small, or layered or strange. I especially enjoy working with anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, trauma, life transitions, relational concerns, and the queer community. I am person-centered at my core and approach therapy from a feminist lens. I also like to implement aspects of mindfulness with my clients.

My ideal client is ready to do the work. They want to feel more peace and connection in their life, whether that be connected to how they feel about their body, their relationship with food, navigating grief, or relationships in their lives. I value authenticity in myself and in others, and bring this to the therapy room. My ideal client is not looking for a blank slate therapist, but someone that can be comfortable with and show up just as they are.

Relationships are hard work, but you're in the right place. Whether you've been married for years or just dating and considering making a commitment, we can help. Couples who come to see us often have a strong desire to be closer to their partner but have found themselves locked in a pattern of stressful interaction, which leads to the problems they are hoping to address in counseling. Together we navigate the process of understanding the cycles couples get stuck in and identify what needs to change in order to build a safe, intimate, and loving connection.

I use CBT to help clients reframe unhelpful thoughts, ACT to build acceptance and align with values, Brainspotting to process deeper emotional experiences, and mindfulness to support grounding and nervous system regulation—helping pregnant and postpartum clients feel more balanced, resilient, and connected to themselves.
Pregnancy and early motherhood can be some of the most transformative — and overwhelming — seasons of life. You may love your baby deeply and still feel anxious, irritable, disconnected, or unlike yourself. Your thoughts might race at night, you may question every decision, or feel guilt for not “enjoying this stage” the way you expected. The transition into motherhood can quietly shake your sense of identity. Your body has changed. Relationships may feel different. You might wonder, Who am I now?

I currently work with adults who are seeking to better understand themselves and their interactions with the world around them. Through counseling, I often support individuals who are neurodivergent, LGBTQ+, educators, college students/young adults, and individuals who are going through big life changes (changing careers, moving to a new town, changes in significant relationships). Through counseling I support individuals as they gain a stronger sense of themselves and a deeper understanding of the control that they have over their own life.

I also utilize Mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
I am IFS Level 2 trained and primarily use this psychospiritual modality in my practice. This involves taking a deep dive into the inner workings of our system, and being open to exploring mystical healing. I am also trained in IFS-informed EMDR, and sometimes blend these modalities for optimal results when working with complex trauma. I regularly facilitate six-week IFS Healing Circles.

I integrate psychoeducation, somatic approaches; DBT distress tolerance/radical self acceptance; and Internal Family Systems.
You are not alone in feeling the emotional toll of the current state of our nation. It's exhausting, disheartening, uncertain. It's time for radical liberation. No more do we let society label our worth. Nor allow jobs to suck the life from our spirit. Nor spiritual dogma to crush our sense of self. Nor do we allow the powerful to demonize us. It's important not to lose ourselves here. Real change happens from a place of self embodiment, not in frantic action. Finding safety, belonging, and authentic rest on our own can feel overwhelming. I would love to partner with you as you work toward centering self in the midst of this chaos.

I typically use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, which combines traditional CBT techniques with Buddhist-inspired mindfulness practices.
If you're someone who thinks you're "too in your head", you've my kind of client. My professional joy is helping people to engage in making a fulfilling life rather than becoming paralyzed by trying to map the optimal path. Are you a couple looking to building effective patterns, rekindle connection and manage conflict? I'm the therapist for you. You want more structure? No problem. Do you just need some help keeping things calm while you hash things out? I'm your guy!

Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Therapists
How does acceptance and commitment therapy work?
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy encourages a person to listen to their self-talk. A person’s inner dialog can be indicative of how they treat themselves. ACT also encourages self-compassion; this can lead to a better understanding of negative thought patterns and emotional states. This understanding can then lead the individual to needed behavior change.

What are the goals of acceptance and commitment therapy?
The goal of acceptance and commitment is to expand a person’s psychological flexibility, a trait that encourages an individual to live in the present moment and to accept all their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, even ones that are difficult such as sadness and anxiety. In ACT, this acceptance is congruent with the individual’s values and beliefs.

Does acceptance and commitment therapy work for depression?
Acceptance and commitment therapy is effective for depression because it allows the individual to view their discomfort and suffering differently. Depressive feelings about relationship heartaches, for example, are a part of life. A despondent person learns to let go of their struggles and instead view their painful thoughts and feelings with compassion. This will lead the individual toward positive change.

How long are people typically in acceptance and commitment therapy?
A typical acceptance and commitment therapy session is 50 minutes long with one session per week. Treatment for common problems such as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties can last between eight weeks to four months. However, more severe cases may require more than one session a week and/or a longer time frame for treatment.
