Each person has a unique journey that is specific to them. Whatever journey that looks like, knowing that someone is there to validate you, hear you, and be present with you is half the battle. Identifying emotional rawness in a safe environment allows you to gather strength to find you.

Most therapists are good at what they do. They are caring, kind, compassionate, and capable. Most importantly, I hope you find those qualities in the person you are looking for, whether or not I am that person. I believe that what distinguishes me is my 25+ years of experience working with people across the lifespan, from all walks of life, and with many unique and not-so-unique histories, experiences, and concerns that they bring to therapy. My work is about helping people better understand how they got here, where they are at this point in their lives, and where they would like to get to.

My ideal client is an adult who feels overwhelmed, stuck, or tired of carrying everything alone. They may be managing anxiety, depression, stress, or substance use concerns and want practical support—not judgment. They’re looking for clarity, stability, and healthier ways to cope, with the goal of feeling more balanced, confident, and in control of their life again.

I use CBT and Emotionally Focused Therapy to help you understand your thoughts, connect with your emotions, and build healthier patterns.
Therapy can feel like a big step—but you don’t have to take it alone. I blend practical, evidence-based strategies with compassion and, when desired, faith-integrated support. My goal is simple: to help you regain clarity, calm, and confidence as you reconnect with who you are and where you want to go. Let's take the next step together.

Love fresh air? Me too! I often take sessions outside—on walks around our business park or sitting in the shade under a tree—because a change of scenery can help us see solutions more clearly. I help people work through anxiety, depression, and life’s stressors by noticing unhelpful thoughts or behaviors, focusing on tangible strategies, and taking small changes that make a big difference. With a background in family counseling, I understand communication and relationships, so I can help you navigate life while keeping the focus on your growth.

I support adults who feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. Many of my clients are carrying grief, trauma, or relational wounds that have left them feeling alone in their pain and unsure how to move forward. You might be feeling anxious, frozen, or chronically stressed. Maybe you're navigating a major loss, facing the same painful dynamics in relationships, or feeling confused about who you are or where you're going. What you’re feeling makes sense. You don't have to hold it alone.

Are you feeling stuck in a relationship and are constantly having the same fights? Or maybe you’re single and find yourself falling into the same negative relationship patterns over and over again? Perhaps you feel like you never got the support you needed as a child and are not getting the support you need from the people around you today. Relationships can have a significant impact on your overall well-being. Sometimes the lack of balance in your relationships can cause you to feel alone, anxious, or angry. This can be very painful and make the rest of life feeling difficult too.

When life feels unpredictable or overwhelming, it can be easy to feel alone. My goal as a therapist is to provide a space where you feel truly heard, supported, and safe — a place where you do not have to hide your anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, or worries. Therapy should be a space where you can show up exactly as you are, without judgment, and know that it is okay to not be okay.

You may look like you’re holding it all together, yet feel exhausted or stretched thin—especially while living with ongoing health challenges like PCOS, diabetes, or other chronic conditions. I specialize in supporting Christian women navigating chronic illness alongside anxiety, burnout, and life transitions. Many clients are teachers, caregivers, or helpers who give deeply while quietly carrying their own burdens. Chronic illness can touch identity, faith, relationships, and peace; therapy offers space to explore these layers so your health story becomes something you can live with, not fight alone.

Emotionally Focused Therapists
Who is emotionally focused therapy for?
Emotionally focused therapy (EFT) is for couples who are emotionally distressed, stuck in an unsatisfying relationship pattern or feeling deeply alienated. They may even believe the relationship is beyond repair. Very often, the partners display intense anger, fear, grief, loss of trust, or a sense of betrayal in the relationship. In addition, EFT is helpful to couples and individuals who have difficulty expressing emotions and those who have trouble regulating emotions.

Why do people need emotionally focused therapy?
People need emotionally focused therapy because the need for others is built into the brain, but the pressures of daily life can erode feelings of love, and couples often do not have the skills to find their way back to the comfort of each other. Instead, they may be stuck in repetitive patterns of anger, fear, grief, loss of trust, or a sense of betrayal. Emotionally focused therapy regards such strong negative feelings as expressions of protest over the loss of connection and turns them into pathways of reconnection.

What happens in emotionally focused therapy?
Over the course of eight to 20 weekly sessions, couples de-escalate their negative emotional reactivity to one another so that they can listen to each other and be responsive to each other’s needs. Then the deep emotional and physical bond is restored, giving partners a sense of comfort and security, which they can use to solve whatever problems come their way. The therapist plays an active role, helping partners understand how anger and withdrawal are actually misguided cries for connection.

What problems does emotionally focused therapy treat?
EFT is designed to help couples stuck in dysfunctional relationship patterns regain closeness and rebuild their relationship. Typically, such couples experience considerable distress, with partners feeling alienated and distrustful of one another, not certain their relationship can survive. EFT is also helpful to individuals experiencing attachment-related fears of loss; it helps them learn to use their fears as a way of eliciting the closeness they desire.
