I have worked with a variety of people including children with physical illness, at-risk adolescents, adults with mental illness, seniors both with and without dementia, refugees and immigrants and as a supervisor for art therapists seeking art therapy registration.
While my approach is eclectic and varies based on the client I am working with, I am largely person-centered, helping each client to find their own path and setting goals appropriate for their journey. I find that the arts help to facilitate moments of insight in a way that is often more powerful than traditional talk therapy.

Many people come to therapy feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure why certain patterns keep repeating. You may be navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, relationship stress, or a life transition. Therapy offers a space to feel seen and met without judgment. It can support you in processing difficult experiences and memories, deepen your understanding of yourself and your relationships, and connect with what feels present and meaningful. I work with adults (18+) across a range of experiences and strive to foster an environment where you can explore what matters most to you with curiosity, care, and compassion.

Stuck in frustrating patterns that no longer serve you? I will honor the way those adaptations kept you safe, while helping you find ways of relating & moving through the world that fit who you are now. Struggling to adjust to life with baby, everyone else making it look easy? For decades, I have empowered caregivers to stop distracting thoughts and cultural pressures from blocking the joy of bonding with your new baby. From a marginalized community? I see & affirm you. I won't pathologize your response to oppression. I trust the therapeutic process & each client’s pace for working toward the change you want to see in your life.

Mental health is an essential part of our well-being. Taking care of our mental well-being is as important as our physical well-being. Unfortunately, for some, mental health falls last in Maslow's hierarchy. Taking care of ourselves and finding balance is not easy. It takes time and may even require multiple attempts. I want to create a space where making mistakes and being imperfect is welcomed, creating a safe environment where you can be exactly who you were meant to be. I always remind my clients during our sessions that the only person judging them is themselves.
