I specialize in treating eating disorders, substance abuse, anxiety, depression, and trauma in teens and adults.
Is life stressing you out? I don't just help my clients develop skills to manage stress effectively but also work through and heal from what is the underlying causes to stress in their life. I am unlike most therapist because I am highly trained in different somatic approaches including Somatic Experiencing, where I incorporate my exceptional level of knowledge in neuroscience to therapy sessions. I am able to explain to you how your nervous system and brain functions when under physically and emotional stress, how this impacts your mental health, and how to heal from this in therapy.

Whether you are looking for someone to help you navigate the stress of daily life, transition into a new phase of life, work through trauma/ attachment issues, or just want to take some time to get to know yourself better, I would be honored to be a part of your journey.
I have significant training and experience with EMDR, mindfulness, attachment, somatics, and parts work. However, I'm not a one-size-fits-all therapist. So my approach always starts with getting to know you, creating a safe space, and working together to understand what you want/ need from our time together.

I help adults move through trauma, anxiety, and major life changes with clarity and calm.
Many of my clients come to therapy during seasons of transition: empty nest, retirement shifts, caregiving burnout, or rediscovering identity after religious or family trauma. Together, we’ll create a space where you can release old patterns, reconnect with your strengths, and build a life that truly fits who you are now.

I work from an evidence-based foundation of CBT, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care, but I'm not rigid about it.
Something brought you here today. Maybe you've been carrying something heavy for a while, a quiet restlessness, a sense that you're going through the motions without really living. Maybe anxiety has been running the show, or depression has made even small things feel out of reach. Maybe something happened that you haven't quite been able to put down. You don't have to have it figured out to reach out. Most people who find their way to therapy don't. They just know something needs to change, even if they can't yet name what.

I specialize in treating mood disorders, trauma, C- PTSD, and anxiety.
Life can be challenging at times and wrought with frustrations, sadness or anxiety. However, with therapy, those challenges don't have to be insurmountable. I believe therapy is about guiding you toward an emotionally healthy path in order to create the life you desire. The fact that you are searching for a therapist who feels like a "good fit" is an important first step (and a very courageous one). My goal is to support you along your journey by providing a non-judgmental and respectful atmosphere, as we jointly work toward you finding a more balanced Life. I am a somatic therapist and believe that healing begins in the body.

I work with children, teens, adults, and parents who want to feel more balanced, connected, and understood. Many of the families and individuals I support are navigating ADHD, autism, or other life challenges that impact emotions, school, work, or relationships. Parents may seek help for a child’s big feelings or confidence, while adults may want support through transitions, stress, or past experiences. Using play, EMDR, and talk therapy, I provide a safe, compassionate space to heal, grow, and move forward with hope.

Today there is so much that demands our attention that we can get lost in the daily struggles. We may become overwhelmed with fears, anxiety, stress, depression, and lose confidence; even when in reality we may be doing life well but not seeing clearly. I believe to different degrees we all have at some point or other. I know I certainly have. Having come from a personal background of abandonment, neglect, and all types of abuse I understand life isn't always easy. Sometimes we need someone to help us in the journey. I know I sure have and I am thankful they were there as I needed them.

Each day brings new challenges, that we often navigate, juggling various responsibilities. Yet, there are moments when we face situations that leave us feeling unbalanced, overwhelmed, and unsure, impacting our mental and emotional well-being. If left unaddressed, these imbalances can lead to both mental and physical breakdowns. Feelings of depression, constant fear, anger, loneliness, hopelessness, poor sleep and more. You don't have to accept this way of life. Allow us to assist you in restoring balance, overcome obstacles, & rediscovering your inner joy & strength. As a breast cancer survivor, I understand unexpected pain.

I am fat-positive therapist and specialize in the treatment of eating disorders, trauma, depression, and anxiety.
As a therapist, I foundationally work from the belief that all humans deserve to feel safe and at home in their bodies. In this messy world, we can often find ourselves not trusting our bodies and wanting to change them. Sometimes within that mess, people may find themselves coping in ways that do not address their deep, underlying needs. I believe in this therapeutic process, you can reconnect with those needs and serve them more intentionally, healing the deepest parts of yourself. My goal is not only to help you find that healing, but to also enjoy and accept the messiness along the way.

I approach therapy through a trauma and attachment focused lens, which I’ve found to be a powerful framework for understanding and addressing a wide range of challenges and symptoms.
My clients are survivors. They are individuals and couples who have weathered the storms of life, and who are ready to safely re-engage in their story, one step at a time. They usually want to feel safer, at peace, and want to be able to loosen the grip the past has on them. If you're often seen as the “strong one,” you may long for a place where you can finally exhale—where you’re met with care, not pressure. You may need reassurance that your story will be honored with integrity, and that any growth you’re invited into will happen at a pace that respects your readiness.

Trauma and PTSD Therapists
When should I seek treatment for trauma?
Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.

How long does trauma therapy take?
Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.

What happens if trauma is left untreated?
Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.

Can PTSD come back after treatment?
It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
