For clients who desire it, I can incorporate Christian perspectives.
Starting therapy can feel intimidating — especially if you’ve spent a long time being the strong one, the helper, or the person who holds everything together. I support individuals impacted by anxiety, depression, life transitions, caregiver fatigue, and trauma, including sexual trauma. I’m trained in CPP and Brainspotting, offering relational, trauma-informed therapy in a supportive, nonjudgmental space. Together, we'll work at a pace that feels right for you, building insight, coping tools, and confidence.

I aim to create a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship while my clients work toward wholeness where they feel wounded. Symptoms of anxiety or depression often usher us into difficult life change that can eventually lead toward improved emotional health. I work from an eclectic theoretical orientation using attachment theory, Internal Family Systems, Narrative-Focused Trauma Care, and faith if clients desire. I utilize Strengths-Based theory with teens, which is an evidence-based approach to suicide prevention. I specialize in teens and work well with high-performing women who struggle with anxiety.

I am Christian and also comfortable working with clients of any spiritual/philosophical background.
Life can be incredibly painful. We can find ourselves feeling stuck, confused, lonely, anxious, despairing, or lost. We want to make sense of our past & present circumstances and map out a path forward, all in a way that feels true to our values and honors the pain we experience. My clients often struggle with issues like depression & anxiety, grief & loss, trauma & abuse, identity & meaning formation, sexuality & pornography, spiritual distress & relationship strife. Whether highly motivated or exhausted and on the verge of giving up, I am honored to meet each client where they are and walk with them step by step toward change.

You’re doing your best — but it feels like it’s never enough. You’re tired of feeling like the weight is all on you. Whether you’re struggling in your relationship, battling anxiety or burnout, or trying to break cycles from your past, I help people get unstuck and find real healing. I specialize in working with men, couples, and parents who are carrying more than they realize. If you’re navigating conflict, stress, trauma, or disconnection — especially after betrayal or breakdown in trust — we’ll work together to understand the deeper patterns and build tools that actually help.

Many of our clients look good on the outside, yet feel mildly miserable on the inside. Pain is motivating and when clients are hurting, they call to schedule an appointment. It takes more than intellect to change behavior. Most of our clients are intelligent and know what they "should" do, yet struggle to take action. Our team works with people (and/or partners) who struggle with substances and behavioral medicators such as alcohol, porn, perfection and codependency. We treat individuals, couples and families that need help with addiction, mental illness, infidelity or simply feeling stuck. It is a relief to not have to do it alone.

You feel like you should be happy and fulfilled with the life you've built. You only wish you were as happy on the inside as you look on the outside. Many of my clients are seen as "having it together," however, inside they've grown numb, tired, restless, and empty. They feel stuck in behavior and thought patterns that they can't seem to change. Their relationships have become unsatisfying. The demands of life feel increasingly heavy. They have tried all they know to try to move the needle of change. They long for something or someone to help them move in a new direction.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or stuck in patterns that don’t make sense anymore, you’re not alone. Many of the people I work with carry layered experiences shaped by family, culture, and past stressors. This may show up as pressure to hold everything together, unspoken expectations, lingering effects of trauma, or a sense that something feels “off” but hard to explain. You may be seeking understanding, healing, and support as you work toward becoming more grounded, whole, and aligned with who you want to be.

People can find themselves feeling stuck in the same cycles, and they're ready to understand not just what's happening, but why-and more importantly, how to change it. Trauma, challenging relationships, and anxieties can hold you back from being who you were created to be. There are answers and techniques that can bring real healing. Going at your pace, we will build a safe environment that will honor who you are and promote true restoration.

While I have worked with people of all faith backgrounds, I provide Christian counseling upon request.
You've found disappointment because your life does not look the way you thought it would. Perhaps you are dealing with a major loss that has you feeling like a bomb went off in your life. Or perhaps you dreamed life would look a certain way and feel left behind, unfulfilled and unsure what you want moving forward. Or perhaps you are struggling to adjust to a life change. Even if your life looks good on the outside, you feel empty and hopeless. You cannot shake a nagging worry or sadness, and your friends and family might not understand how much your life feels like a battle. You feel alone, but you do not need to suffer in silence.

Christian Therapists
Why is it important for a therapist to be culturally sensitive?
Therapists and clients don’t need to share the same belief system or background to be able to work effectively together, but a therapist whose training includes a focus on cultural competence may be better able to form a therapeutic bond with individuals from a range of backgrounds, as they will have experience in tailoring their approach to each client—and will be prepared to acknowledge and consider the effects of culture, religion, and other factors on each individual.

Why is it important to find a therapist sensitive to Christian values?
Each person brings a unique history and background to therapy, making it important to find a licensed therapist who is trained in a broad range of treatment modalities. In addition, for people who grow up in a faith tradition that strongly influences the way they conduct their everyday life, finding a therapist who understands or shares that background can ease the disclosure of sensitive information and facilitate the therapeutic process. For some clients, a Christian therapist is likely to incorporate faith-based principles into emotional healing techniques.

How do I recognize an effective Christian therapist?
Christian therapists are licensed mental health professionals—holding a master’s or doctoral degree in medicine, nursing, psychology, counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy—who are also familiar with Christian beliefs and values. They have an understanding of the importance that Christian principles play in the lives of individuals and families, which allows them to be especially sensitive to the kinds of struggles that can affect daily functioning. Like all effective therapists, a Christian therapist will have undergone training and certification in a variety of treatment modalities that help people through crises and enable them to master the challenges of life.

Why might someone feel comfortable with a Christian therapist?
While training, qualifications, and experience are always important, research has long established that a strong alliance between client and therapist is a major contributor to therapeutic success. An alliance is likely to be strengthened with a therapist who not only is responsive to questions and concerns but also shares a client’s faith and values. Sensitivity to spiritual matters as well as to everyday struggles can provide a welcome sense of safety and contribute to the bond between client and therapist, both of which support the therapeutic process.

Who is included in Psychology Today’s directory of Christian therapists?
The directory of Christian therapists includes professionals who have shared their background in their profiles. However, not all therapists choose to disclose this information, and they may not appear in search results for this reason. The directory also shows therapists who indicate that they have extensive experience working with Christian clients, regardless of their own background or religious affiliation.
