I primarily work with adolescents 12+ and women.
I primarily utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), but also pull from other approaches, such as mindfulness, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and strengths-based approaches. My goal is to meet my clients where they are in their journey, and to tailor my intervention to meet the needs of each individual.

My ideal clients are individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and emotional intensity. They often feel stuck in patterns that keep repeating, struggle with boundaries, or feel overwhelmed in their relationships. Even when they’re holding everything together, something still feels off. I help them understand their patterns, regulate emotions, and create meaningful, lasting change.

I am especially skilled at helping teens and adults who have been struggling with anxiety and OCD.
Anxiety and stress isn’t something new but lately your thoughts are taking over your life. You know they don't make sense but you can’t control them. You blocked it out before but now you can’t focus at work, at school, or be with others. Avoiding people, places, and things started out small but has become a way of life and you feel trapped. The guilt, sadness, and pressure you feel every day has become more than you can bear. Sometimes you feel like you can even trust your own thoughts. If you're a parent reading this, you may have tried everything but seeing your child struggle is heartbreaking. You need help.

I offer therapy for children, teens, and adults facing challenges like anxiety disorders, OCD, depression, and low self-esteem.
Feeling overwhelmed by worry or stress? This can make everyday life feel like a challenge. You may notice yourself becoming more withdrawn, overwhelmed, or disconnected from activities that once brought you joy. Or maybe your child is struggling— more irritable, more sensitive, or avoiding situations that once felt easy. When usual coping strategies stop working, it’s normal to feel uncertain about what to do next.

I work with children, teens, and adults, who may be struggling with a variety of challenges, like anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions.
Are you someone who may be getting through school, work, and relationships, but things inside feel heavier than they look? Your mind replays conversations, worries how you came across, or expects something to go wrong even when things are okay. You might over-apologize, avoid conflict, or shut down emotionally, and pushing through hasn’t changed the pattern. Together, we will make sense of your reactions and behaviors, and help you feel more comfortable and confident in yourself.

FAQ - Teenage and Adolescent Therapists
What does therapy for teenagers look like?
When a therapist works with a teenager, the pair will talk about what the teen is struggling with and explore solutions, which may involve interpersonal skills, coping strategies, medication, or lifestyle changes related to sleep, diet, and exercise. Different therapists employ different modalities, but most involve a combination of conversation and skill building.

How long does therapy for teenagers generally take to work?
There’s variability in teenagers’ experiences and challenges; some may begin to improve from therapy within a few weeks while others may take several months or longer. Teens can discuss their progress with their therapist periodically to assess how they’re improving and any changes to the treatment plan that could potentially accelerate that progress.

How do you encourage a teenager to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love while framing therapy as an opportunity to explore a tool that could help improve their life; just like they practice baseball or dance, now they can practice their emotional skills. Give your teen control over the process where you can—maybe by weighing in on choice of therapist and signaling that therapy involves confidentiality, so a parent need not know all that is discussed in sessions.

How do you prepare teens for therapy?
You can prepare your teenager for therapy by describing what the process will look like and setting expectations for timeline, if requested. You can explain that the first session may begin with an assessment phase, that they can describe their experiences but that the therapist will ask questions too, and that it may take time to feel comfortable opening up. Ask how they’re feeling about the process and answer any questions calmly and supportively.
