I specialize in trauma-informed care, CBT, ACT, and somatic healing practices.
I specialize in supporting individuals and couples navigating anxiety, past trauma, and significant life transitions. My clients are not necessarily in crisis, but are ready for meaningful change. They’re seeking a warm yet structured therapeutic space where experiences are validated and their nervous systems are understood through a trauma informed lens. My clients want to feel more in control, break free from old patterns, build deeper, more authentic relationships, and are drawn to my balanced approach of empathy and evidence based practices. If this sounds like you, I’d love to help you begin your journey toward lasting change.

My passion is serving the LatinX community whenever possible. I also enjoy working with new parents who are expecting their first child or just welcomed their first child into their family. This time in life is very tender but can also create anxiety, stress, relationship tension, and bring up one's own childhood wounds as parents step into this new role. Working with couples in relationship distress, especially within the LatinX community, is an area of passion and purpose for me. In addition, I work with older teens and adults on a variety of struggles including anxiety, depression, life transitions, and grief/loss.

I strive to create a safe and compassionate space where you can work toward acceptance and peace, find joy and meaning in life, & reach your true potential.
We all long to feel a sense of belonging and connection, and positive relationships are essential in helping us live fulfilling lives. However, old wounds and different communication styles can sometimes prevent us from finding satisfaction in our current connections, leaving us feeling stuck and disillusioned. Life also has a way of pulling the rug from under our feet leaving us feeling lost, broken, and unsure of how we got to this point in our story.

Feeling overwhelmed by worry or stress? This can make everyday life feel like a challenge. You may notice yourself becoming more withdrawn, overwhelmed, or disconnected from activities that once brought you joy. Or maybe your child is struggling— more irritable, more sensitive, or avoiding situations that once felt easy. When usual coping strategies stop working, it’s normal to feel uncertain about what to do next.

Many of my clients come to me when they feel stuck in their relationships, overwhelmed by responsibilities, or weighed down by stress and self-doubt. Some are reeling from conflict or betrayal in their marriage, while others feel like they’ve lost their sense of direction at work or at home. In our sessions, we slow things down enough to see the patterns that are keeping them stuck and the emotions that are often hidden beneath the surface. From there, I help clients begin to make sense of their experience and find new ways of showing up with more clarity and connection.

I enjoy using a person-centered therapeutic approach that incorporates theories and interventions from Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Internal Family Systems.
You struggle to connect with your authentic self as you navigate life’s transitions and their impact on your identity and relationships. You notice yourself falling into the same patterns that leave you feeling even more disconnected and overwhelmed. Together, we will explore the stories that shape your inner world. I will support you in letting go of expectations that don't align with your values and building confidence in yourself as the author of your own life. When everything starts to feel like too much, I want you to feel grounded in who you are.

Using ACT, trauma-focused CBT, and The Gottman Method, I help clients build self-trust, navigate anxiety, improve communication, and heal from past experiences—all in a space where they don’t have to mask or shrink who they are.
My ideal clients want a space where they don’t have to explain their identity or tone themselves down. They’re navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, or trauma—individually or as a couple—and want to feel seen without judgment. They may struggle with masking, people-pleasing, or emotional regulation. Whether it’s their first time in therapy or they’re returning after a not-so-great experience, they’re ready to be understood and live with more ease, clarity, and authenticity.

Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Therapists
How does acceptance and commitment therapy work?
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy encourages a person to listen to their self-talk. A person’s inner dialog can be indicative of how they treat themselves. ACT also encourages self-compassion; this can lead to a better understanding of negative thought patterns and emotional states. This understanding can then lead the individual to needed behavior change.

What are the goals of acceptance and commitment therapy?
The goal of acceptance and commitment is to expand a person’s psychological flexibility, a trait that encourages an individual to live in the present moment and to accept all their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, even ones that are difficult such as sadness and anxiety. In ACT, this acceptance is congruent with the individual’s values and beliefs.

Does acceptance and commitment therapy work for depression?
Acceptance and commitment therapy is effective for depression because it allows the individual to view their discomfort and suffering differently. Depressive feelings about relationship heartaches, for example, are a part of life. A despondent person learns to let go of their struggles and instead view their painful thoughts and feelings with compassion. This will lead the individual toward positive change.

How long are people typically in acceptance and commitment therapy?
A typical acceptance and commitment therapy session is 50 minutes long with one session per week. Treatment for common problems such as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties can last between eight weeks to four months. However, more severe cases may require more than one session a week and/or a longer time frame for treatment.
