I help you create lasting change by combining practical, evidence-based tools (like CBT, CPT, EMDR, and mindfulness) with genuine empathy and understanding.
Are you feeling trapped by your own mind? Battling debilitating thoughts, constant worry, and scary, unwanted thoughts? I specialize in treating Pure Obsessional OCD (Pure O), where the fight is internal against unrelenting intrusive thoughts about harm, relationships, or morality, often without visible compulsions. This core anxiety is also the engine that can fuel internet/porn addiction and damaging patterns of infidelity. Unfortunately, the collateral is your partner, your job, your life. My goal is to help you quiet this internal noise, regain control of the cycle of fear and secrecy, and finally find lasting peace of mind.

My approach integrates schema therapy, EMDR, nervous system regulation, attachment theory, and experiential interventions.
My typical clients have spent years trying to understand themselves yet still feel stuck in familiar patterns. Anxiety, relationship struggles, people-pleasing, emotional overwhelm, chronic self-blame, or difficulty feeling fully connected to themselves or others are common presenting concerns. Most of my clients are deeply self-aware and understand their patterns intellectually but struggle to create the lasting shifts they desire. Together, we explore how early experiences, relationships, and adaptive survival strategies continue to shape the present.

You're the 'responsible one', but at what cost? Nothing is falling apart. Yet something feels off—and you can't quite explain why. As far back as you can remember, being capable, disciplined, and independent has been part of who you are. Those qualities have made you successful and dependable—yet it's not as sustainable. Whether navigating chronic illness, burnout, or life transitions like menopause; you simply aren't yourself. You know it's not selfish to protect your time, yet some part of you still feels anxious when you try. For decades, I've successfully treated women's issues, stress, relational issues, and anxiety.

Once this is established, I typically ecourage clients to give EMDR a try to see if it is the right fit for what they're looking for.
Do you feel stuck in your head overthinking everything, feeling on edge, or emotionally drained? Anxiety and stress can take a toll on your mind and body, leaving you exhausted, irritable, or disconnected from yourself and others. Sometimes these feelings are tied to past experiences or trauma, even if you’re not sure what “counts” as trauma. Trauma looks different for everyone, and your response is valid. You didn’t choose what happened to you, but you can choose healing. Therapy can help you feel more grounded, find relief from anxiety, and begin to feel like yourself again.

I draw from many therapeutic approaches, cognitive-behavioral therapy, EMDR therapy, humanistic therapy, mindfulness based techniques, as well as integrating neuroscience-based strategies in my practice to meet the specific needs of my clients.
Have you been struggling with anxiety, depression or both? Or perhaps you are neurodivergent, on the Autism spectrum or have ADHD? I like to look at these characteristics as super powers and work with clients to meet their full potential in their lives. During sessions, I encourage clients to identify triggers that lead to emotional dysregulation, so that they can then develop coping strategies, build resilience, as well as, cultivate a greater sense of self-awareness & self-compassion, so they can then gain insight into patterns & behaviors, to make positive changes in their lives and improve interpersonal relationships.

EMDR Therapists
Who is EMDR for?
EMDR was initially developed as a treatment for individuals with Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), for whom memories of a deeply distressing experience can be inadvertently triggered by random everyday events. The procedure has since been applied in the treatment of many other conditions. For example, it is used by some therapists to treat anxiety disorders including panic and phobias, depression, dissociative disorders, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and some personality disorders. It is suitable for adolescents and adults.

Why do people need EMDR?
People need EMDR as a way to manage distressing memories that in some way hamper the ability to function in the present. The procedure is believed to target the way memories are stored in the brain. Evidence indicates that past disturbing experiences cause ongoing distress because they were not adequately processed, and when such memories are triggered in the present, they are accompanied by all the emotions, thoughts, and physical sensations as the initial experience.

What problems does EMDR treat?
First and foremost, EMDR is intended as a treatment for PTSD, to defuse distressing memories that intrude on and impair everyday functioning. It is also often used to help those who are subject to panic attacks, phobias, and other forms of anxiety. In addition, EMDR has been used to treat individuals with depression, eating disorders, and personality disorders.

What happens in EMDR therapy?
First the therapist takes an individual’s history, and then the therapist and client decide which distressing experience(s) will be the target(s) of the exercise, delivered via a side-to-side visual stimulus requiring lateral eye movements. The client will be asked to activate thoughts, feelings, and any body sensations related to the troubling experience. The eye movements are said to reduce the emotional charge of the memory, so that the experience can then be safely discussed with the therapist and digested, minimizing its ability to trigger anxiety.
