I work with individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, grief, and difficult patterns that often impact relationships.
I take a systems-informed perspective, meaning that we don’t thrive in isolation. Stress, conflict, or loss will often impact relationships, and in turn, our connections can play a significant role in the healing process. Together, we’ll explore not only individual experiences but also the relational dynamics that keep you from feeling connected.

Such issues include: Depression, anxiety, health issues (stress, pain management, smoking cessation, obesity), divorce recovery (for adults and children), adoption, low self-esteem, abuse survivors, PTSD, ADHD, grief, couples problems and psychological testing.
My goal as a psychologist is to increase self-awareness and create positive change in a nonjudgmental environment. Psychotherapy can relieve emotional distress, improve one's quality of life, help process painful events and increase self-awareness. Unfortunately many people are conflicted about the decision to get help and may see psychotherapy as a sign of weakness. It has been my experience that people who are unhappy for whatever reason and choose to go to psychotherapy are being assertive, healthy, and courageous in the handling of their problems.

These experiences have strengthened my belief that every woman and young girl carries a powerful light within—one that can be dimmed by trauma, abuse, neglect, loss, or life’s challenges but never fully extinguished.
I help women navigate anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and life transitions with compassion and understanding. I also support those facing perinatal, postpartum, and grief-related challenges. Using CBT, Mindfulness, Solution-Focused, Person-Centered, and Strength-Based approaches, I create a safe space for healing and growth.

Have you felt like you couldn't find the right therapist? Or, tired of those days where you are just sick of everyone and everything and find yourself thinking "fuck it" a lot? Do others often ask why you're acting the way you do? Or, do you have substance use concerns, but have not ever felt like your needs were met with understanding? It can be hard picturing yourself being completely vulnerable with a stranger, I know. One constant in my treatment delivery: openness, acceptance, and transparency. Come as you are; we will work through the rest. You never have to feel guilty or shitty about who you are in this room.

Finding the right therapist can be difficult and scary. Telling someone else about your feelings and needs can feel overwhelming. Because of this, it is essential you feel comfortable with your therapist. Research suggest that a good working relationship with your therapist is the most important factor in judging whether or not therapy is effective. This is the primary reason I offer a free phone consultation. Please call and ask any questions you have! I welcome the opportunity to work with you and your family and want to make sure you feel it is a good fit.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor and a State Certified School Counselor with over 20 years of experience. I have established a holistic approach in counseling that cater to all ages. Although I am a mental health professional, I explore a divine approache that impacts an individual's faith and spirituality. I believe everyone has the ability to heal through appropriate techniques, personal development and modality of counseling. However, God is the only healing component that makes all things possible through spiritual manifestation. If you feel spiritual counseling is what you need, please allow me to assist with your growth and development toward your goal(s).

My current focus is leading the Lost and Found group, a program I created—and am in the process of trademarking—through my practice, Providential Care: Center for Mental Wellness, PLLC. The program is designed to help women strengthen self-esteem and reconnect with their authentic selves. In group sessions, I incorporate CBT interventions to address patterns of thought and behavior, while using schema therapy to help heal the deeper wounds that often remain buried. Together, we work on unpacking the weighty luggage of past experiences, making space to thrive and move forward on your journey with greater freedom and self-acceptance.

As a potential client, know that your courage to face personal vulnerabilities and uncertainties is acknowledged from the start. To realize and understand the efforts you've made already affords us early opportunities to consider possibilities in therapy. Your desired outcome is the goal. The process of sharing, reflecting, and adjusting any internal and relational patterns is our therapy means to this end. The clinical approaches perhaps most reflective in therapy are cognitive-behavioral, inter-personal and family systems, and acceptance/commitment. Interventions are based on your child/family, couple, and individual needs.

Hey, I’m Naz ! I'm a therapist who believes healing should feel human, not just clinical and "boring." If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected from your emotions or relationships, you’re not alone and therapy doesn’t have to be intimidating or one-size-fits-all. I support teens, young adults, and families working through anxiety, trauma, attachment wounds, identity struggles, and neurodivergence. My style is real, collaborative, and grounded in trust. I help clients feel seen and supported as they build healthier relationships with themselves and others. We’ll move at your pace, and I’ll meet you where you are.

Grief Therapists

How long does therapy take for grief?

There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.

When should you seek therapy for grief?

Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.

Can grief be managed without therapy?

Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.

What happens if grief is left untreated?

Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
