I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate. I received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from North Carolina A&T. I furthered my education receiving a MA in Marriage & Family Therapy from Capella. I'm committed to treating couples, families, and individuals. My clinical interest include working with premarital couples, communication issues, infidelity, grief, sexual assault, and addiction. I strongly believe that the therapeutic relationship is one of the biggest indicators of change, which is why I strive to create a safe, warm space in which clients feel seen and heard.

Each potential client is different and brings different values and challenges to therapy. The goals, needs, or issues of every single person are just as important to me as my own, therefore I approach each client using a client-centered or Person-Centered Approach to ensure I am putting the needs of my clients before my own. My goal as a client-centered therapist is to prioritize the well-being of the individuals I serve and who place their trust in me as a licensed counselor.

I work with individuals, couples and families ages 12 and up and from all backgrounds. As a therapist, I work with clients to foster their current strengths and help them build new ones empowering them to deal with life's challenges successfully. I understand the importance of accepting that our unique personalities and experiences make us who we are and I focus on helping clients discover ways to make those strengths work in the context of life (school, work and relationships). I enjoy working with a diverse range of clientele and offer a free initial phone consultation.

Currently accepting new clients for daytime appointments (10 AM - 2 PM virtual or in person). I believe that everyone is unique and has their own distinctive journey. You can expect treatment with me to be person-centered and non-judgmental. I feel treating the person as a whole is important and look at all aspects of life and how they intermingle. I work form a biopsychosocial perspective and pull from multiple modalities of treatment to utilize a therapeutic approach tailored specifically for each client and their unique needs.

Eric Kelly is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Eric attended Hunter College, which is part of the City University Colleges of New York (CUNY), where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. Eric then earned his Master of Social Work degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has a diverse clinical background, having provided outpatient therapy, intensive in-home, and multisystemic therapy (MST) for adults, adolescents, and families with a wide range of mental health diagnoses. He has also provided mental health services to adults and children with traumatic brain injuries and cognitive challenges.

I am a Licensed Psychological Associate with more than 10 years of experience in the field of mental health. I have been working with adults, children and adolescents. I understand that the journey of life is not always easy and predictable, and that at some point in our lives, everyone faces difficulties that make us feel very vulnerable, frustrated and unsuccessful. As a therapist, I want to help you acknowledge your strengths and weaknesses, identify new ideas and options to overcome life challenging situations and promote your overall wellbeing, including personal and professional growth.

I garner an intense passion to help women & those in the LGBTQIA+ community reclaim their identities, find their voices, and learn how to harness their inner power. Many of the clients that I work with have undergone some type of trauma and/or are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, low self-esteem, or a toxic or abusive relationship. Additionally, I have started serving women who are experiencing postpartum anxiety and/or depression.

I work with individual adult/child clients and couples who are facing anxiety, depression, life transitions, loss, trauma, ADHD, Bipolar disorder, and challenges at work or in relationships. I have counseled adults, couples, and groups in community-based and school-based mental health, as well as private practice. I have also conducted in-depth research on trauma, hopelessness, empathy, attachment, and intimacy. Above all, I believe that my clients, not I, hold the key to their growth and that emotional pain and anxiety, when given respect and non-judgmental attention, can often provide some of the best opportunities for learning.
