Everyone thinks you have it together. People would never guess how much you're struggling, or how your brain NEVER shuts off. You're replaying conversations, overthinking everything, carrying everyone else's emotional baggage, and wondering why you can't seem to relax. You're exhausted, but slowing down somehow feels harder than keeping busy. You learned how to survive long before you knew how to rest. If you're reading this and feel like this is you... you're in the right place.

I work with adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relational stress, often at times when things feel overwhelming, uncertain, or difficult to manage alone. My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and grounded in respect for your unique experiences, values, and goals. I don’t see my role as “fixing” problems, but rather walking alongside you, helping you better understand your thoughts, emotions, and patterns while developing tools that support meaningful and lasting change.

A majority of the clients I work with struggle with anxiety or depression related to trauma from some point in their lives.
I believe everyone can benefit from seeing a therapist at any given point in their life. Whether you have anxiety, depression, are facing life transitions, or any obstacle that life may throw your way, I want to walk with you to overcome it. It can be scary to open up to anyone about your struggles! I understand this and truly feel honored to provide a space where you can feel safe to share your struggles and be open to growth and healing. I do not judge nor give advice, but do challenge ways of thinking to encourage growth.

I specialize in working with the queer community including gender expansive folx and religious trauma.
I believe the difficulties gender expansive folkx experience are because of the societal binary gender system. You are not struggling with your gender identity, you are struggling in a world that does not validate your experience. I have worked in both individual and group settings assisting individuals who are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, mood disorders, severe and persistent mental illness, and substance use challenges.
Every flower needs both sunshine and rain to grow. Like flowers, I believe that our growth relies on our darkest days as much as it does our happiest. My goal is to assist clients in celebrating the sunshine and navigating through the rain.

As a translational clinician, I use research in neuropsychology and brain science to help my clients battle trauma, anxiety, and other issues they are facing.
One of the bravest things you can do is begin to understand your own story. You don't have to be anxious or angry all the time. I want you to be free of emotional pain and deal with life on your terms. You can find purpose in how you show up in the world. I want to help you craft a new chapter in your unique story. I employ integrative, person-centered, evidence-based approaches that empower you and promote your mind-body healing. We may walk in my forest or sit on the couch, but wherever we share space, we are working together, one day closer to the mind-body healing I know you can find.

I'm particularly passionate about helping individuals understand and heal from trauma, and I strive to create a decolonized, safe space for all individuals.
Integrating DBT, EMDR, and Ecotherapy, I help individuals reconnect with their inner wisdom through body-centered practices, nature-based interventions, and mindful techniques. These approaches empower clients to tap into their innate resilience, cultivate self-awareness, and discover their own 'wise mind' for a more authentic, confident life

I work with all ages, including those experiencing various stressors such as parenting/fostering/caregiving, life transitions, substance use, and various types of trauma.
We all reach points in our stories where we feel stuck, perhaps because of the cards we’ve been dealt, habits that have come to define us, relationships that feel like a rollercoaster…the list goes on. When I’ve reached those points in my own life, therapy has helped me find a way forward. Now as a therapist myself, I enjoy helping others get unstuck and move towards wider and freer places - where we build in space to pause and reflect, so you can be intentional about how you live and grow.

Trauma and PTSD Therapists
When should I seek treatment for trauma?
Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.

How long does trauma therapy take?
Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.

What happens if trauma is left untreated?
Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.

Can PTSD come back after treatment?
It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
