I use mindfulness, parts work (Reparenting and IFS informed) and somatic techniques with an emphasis on self-compassion.
Abuse, neglect, and emotionally immature parenting damages our self-worth and our sense of being lovable. We grow up and find ourselves feeling insecure in the relationships that matter to us the most. We battle anxious attachment and codependency, always waiting for the other shoe, and doing everything we can to keep it from dropping. Are you the least secure with those who matter to you the most? Are you tired of feeling "broken"? If so, I’m your person. I can help you recover and reparent yourself. And I can handle all your tough stuff. Bring it!

I integrate experiential and somatic interventions to increase the mind/body connection.
I am an experiential therapist who supports folks struggling with anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, self-criticism, burnout, and emptiness from years of minimizing their own needs as they lovingly care for others. Life doesn’t have to feel like you are constantly battling to change who you are- left feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, isolated and alone. Instead, I partner with my clients to embrace who they are and what they need with compassion and witness their already complete wholeness.

I am an integrative clinician- beginning first with our relationship, I will often weave together both cognitive approaches (ie, CBT, CPT, and psychoeducation) with embodiment practices (ie, mindfulness, MBSR, and somatic experiencing).
I am a perinatal mental health specialist, assisting women in navigating the many facets of pregnancy and postpartum. Including- change and transitions, family planning, fertility/infertility, pregnancy complications, grief/loss, matrescence and identity development in motherhood, and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders such as postpartum depression/anxiety/ptsd/ocd. If you feel overwhelmed, easily agitated, numb or disconnected from yourself, and if you are 'surviving' more than 'thriving'- you are not alone. I am here to support your journey toward greater well-being by offering a compassionate space for growth and healing.

In our initial session we will do somatic work and set the intention for therapy.
You’re tired of living in the shadow of your past. Trauma has left you on edge—always bracing for the next blow. Your emotions feel unpredictable, relationships are strained, and no matter how much time passes, your body and mind are still stuck in survival mode. You know your reactions are connected to what you’ve been through but understanding it hasn’t been enough to break free. Therapy has been good but talking about the past over and over hasn’t given you the relief you desire. You don’t just want to manage your trauma—you want to move past it.

I am a trained EMDR therapist and use somatic and holistic therapies to help you achieve your mental health and wellness goals.
Somewhere along the way you feel you lost yourself. Whether it be in motherhood, wifehood, single-hood, your career, or in relationships. For one reason or another, the person you face in the mirror is not who you thought you would become. That very reason, brought you here and I am so glad you found me. I am here to meet you where you are. True liberation comes when we can accept all of who we are, understanding that every part, no matter how painful, deserves love and care. I help women step into full power by rediscovering self, and creating balance to maintain harmony in their lives.

This may include skill building and education, brainspotting, psychodynamic therapy, somatic (body-focused) approach, exposure and response prevention (ERP) developmental needs meeting strategy (DNMS), and more.
The folks I work with are those who are struggling with feeling connected to themselves and others. Often my clients have difficulty being in the present moment, instead finding themselves lost inside their mind, imagination, or in the past or future. There's often a deep longing to be connected to others but feel as if there's something in the way. Sometimes my clients feel usure of or inconsistent in who they are, uncertain of what they want and have struggled to find happiness and contentment in life. For my clients, life can often feel blurry or fuzzy with difficulty remembering the recent or distant past.

As a transpersonal somatic psychotherapist, biodynamic craniosacral therapist, SoulCollage facilitator and holistic nurse, mother, wife, daughter, empty nester and fellow traveler, I help people develop the tools and skills for inner awareness and embodiment so they can live in this world with joy and an increasing capacity for love.
My joy is supporting others in coming back to themselves and ultimately to their connection with others and with the divine. Whether exploring the patterns developed during our conception, birth or early life, or connecting with the body’s wisdom, there is a way we can be with what is happening that allows us to integrate what is most essential. Slowing down, finding your rhythm, tuning in to what you are needing and wanting for yourself, being curious…some sessions are deeply restorative, some profound or surprising, some simply provide the necessary structure for living fully in this 3-D world.

Using somatic therapy, we’ll work together to reconnect with the parts of yourself you've pushed aside This isn’t about quick fixes or surface-level solutions, it’s about deep, transformative change that empowers you to live authentically &fully.
We live in a world that constantly tells women who they should be, shaping expectations around family, career & identity while political shifts & systemic barriers add even more uncertainty. These deeply personal experiences should be met with choice, autonomy & support but too often, they’re dismissed, leaving many to navigate them in silence. I work with women navigating the complexities of their lived experiences, trauma & identity especially those carrying the compounded weight of reproductive choices, intergenerational expectations, systemic oppression & hormonal health concerns.

Somatic Therapists

How does somatic therapy work?

Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.

Is EMDR a somatic therapy?

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.

Is somatic therapy evidence-based?

Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.

What is somatic trauma therapy?

Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
