I work with adults and adolescents with PTSD, personality disorders, and bipolar disorder, as well as depression and anxiety.
You are worthy and whole, but maybe it doesn't feel that way. The world can feel chaotic, hard, and painful - and it often is - but it is also full of peace and stillness, laughter and sweetness, hope and love. If you are struggling with trauma or painful experiences, if you are feeling overwhelmed, defeated, or lost - I would like to help. You matter to me. Please join me in a safe, compassionate space for reflection, exploration, and growth. Together, we will tap into your strength, inner wisdom, and resilience to help you find your way through the darkness into your own light.

I specialize in working with personality disorders or persistent emotional dysregulation.
I love a good puzzle, and I specialize in clients with complex presentations that need a unique blend of treatment techniques. I am an ideal fit for those who feel like they are stuck and have yet to find the help they are looking for. I take a transdiagnostic approach, meaning that I focus more on the pattern of symptoms than on one specific diagnosis. I see a wide range of presenting problems (including personality, mood, and anxiety disorders) and work to understand how all of the pieces of the puzzle fit together and how to best treat them. I help my clients build a life worth living by investing in all the parts of them.

I am your ideal therapist if you want to move beyond treating just symptoms and get to the heart of what causes your suffering. Most importantly, I am here to offer an authentic and wholly nonjudgmental space, so that you no longer have to face your burdens alone. My clients often describe me as calm, genuine, and attentive. You no longer have to suffer in silence- starting or continuing your therapy journey is a valuable next step.

Instead of having to seek out a specialist to address co-occurring issues, I excel at untangling complex, overlapping issues including personality disorders, trauma, mental health diagnoses, and addictive behaviors.
Do you feel as if you're drowning in a storm of chaos, self-sabotage, addiction, or trauma? Have you noticed a deep sense of emptiness or dis-ease, with efforts to self-medicate leading to further feelings of emptiness and isolation? Perhaps you're haunted by nightmares and flashbacks, fragmented memories of a past you struggle to piece together, feeling disconnected from a true sense of self. Or worse, loved ones are expressing frustration with you, saying you are "too much," while you only ever feel you're "not enough." Whatever has led you here, know that you are not alone, and recovery is possible.

Grab a tea or coffee, get comfy, and let’s chat. Sometimes emotions take over more than we expect. They show up in the middle of the day, make everything feel heavier, or keep us stuck in the same old patterns even when we’re trying our best. A lot of people come in feeling worn out from anxiety or tired of riding emotional ups and downs. It doesn’t mean anything is “wrong” with you; it just means you’ve been carrying a lot. In therapy, we slow things down and figure out what’s actually fueling all that overwhelm. We build tools that fit your life, and you deserve support that feels grounding and real.

Personality Disorders Therapists

What are the common treatment options for personality disorders?

Personality disorders are typically treated with psychotherapy, sometimes in conjunction with medication. Therapy can help people with personality disorders develop skills to tolerate difficult emotions, navigate interpersonal relationships, and solidify their sense of self. Medications can treat symptoms that co-occur with the disorder, such as depression, anger, aggression, and impulsivity.

When to seek treatment for personality disorders?

Even though treatment for personality disorders can be an uphill battle, it’s best to seek help if you suspect that you or a loved one is struggling with one, because personality disorders can create substantial problems in life. Symptoms depend on the specific disorder, but overall signs of personality disorders include consistent difficulty maintaining close relationships, dramatic variations in self-esteem, and an unstable sense of identity.

How long does therapy take for personality disorders?

The timeline for treating personality disorders isn’t as clear-cut as it is for other disorders. Change can be difficult, taking from around one year to five, 10, or more. The key is finding a therapist who has extensive experience treating the relevant disorder. For example, a psychologist who specializes in narcissistic personality disorder has specific communication strategies that allow them to sustain the relationship and be more effective with narcissistic patients.

Can therapy help people with personality disorders?

Research suggests that for those who are motivated to address concerns or interpersonal conflict related to a personality disorder, therapy is far more effective than no treatment, and that most people in therapy see improvements. However, since personality disorders involve entrenched elements of identity, they are less responsive to treatment than are other mental health conditions. Finding an expert who has extensive experience working with a given personality disorder is one factor that increases the likelihood of successful treatment.
