I specialize in anxiety, burnout, OCD, depression, relationship conflict & attachment, life transitions & identity shifts, maternal mental health (preconception to postpartum), career and eating disorder recovery & body image.
You’re keeping it all afloat - the deadlines, the relationships, the never-ending to-do list, while hoping no one notices you are running on empty. Maybe you’re navigating a big life transition, feeling stretched thin by relationship stress, or realizing that old patterns are showing up again in new ways. I specialize in working with women (young adults, parents, and professionals) who are juggling a lot and craving more balance, clarity, and meaning. Together, we’ll slow down enough to get curious about what’s underneath it all and what actually feels sustainable. My style is warm, real, and collaborative, an exhale.

I am committed to understanding and treating anxiety disorders, such as panic and phobias, and OCD.
You might've woken up this morning hoping today would be different. Perhaps you’d finally join that yoga class you’ve been eyeing, or meet a friend for coffee without worrying about passing out or losing control. But as the day went on, that familiar sense of unease returned, and every thought and sensation felt like an emergency. You’ve gone to the doctor (more than once) only to be told that it's “just anxiety.” You’re trying SO hard to calm your mind and nothing seems to work. You feel frustrated, misunderstood, and downright exhausted.

In addition to trauma treatment, I offer Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD to break the cycle of obsessions and compulsions and help clients reclaim time, energy, and peace of mind.
I understand that beginning trauma therapy can feel both vulnerable and overwhelming, so I work to create a space where every part of your experience is welcome. My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in safety because meaningful healing happens when you feel supported enough to approach the memories, emotions, and patterns that have felt too painful or too scary to face alone. My work is strongly centered on trauma treatment, especially for clients experiencing post-traumatic stress, chronic hypervigilance, intrusive memories, avoidance, and emotional dysregulation.

My specialty is working with people who are anxious or suffering with OCD.
You will find that I enjoy connecting to people through their interests, passions and experiences. I like to bring a sense of humor into sessions when appropriate and treat everyone with dignity, respect and compassion. We will not just talk about your problems, but I will get to know you as a person so we can utilize those strengths to manage the less desirable parts of self, thus moving toward acceptance rather than judgement.

These challenges can feel sensitive and difficult to talk about, but they don’t have to stand in the way of fulfillment or connection. Together, we can navigate these complexities with compassion and knowledge, in a space that is non-judgmental and affirming.

Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD) Therapists
How long does OCD treatment take?
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is often treated on a weekly or twice-weekly schedule, depending on symptom severity and the client’s preferences. Some clients may start to see a noticeable improvement in symptoms in as little as six weeks, but it’s also possible, especially in more severe cases, for treatment to take several months to a year before significant progress is made.

What happens if OCD is not treated?
Some people with OCD, especially those with mild symptoms, may find that they are able to adapt reasonably well to life with the condition, even if their symptoms never resolve completely. However, many people, particularly those whose symptoms are severe at the outset, find that their obsessions and compulsions grow more intrusive with time, making it harder to maintain relationships, hold down a job, or navigate the world successfully.

Are there medications for OCD?
Medication can be used to treat OCD. The class of drugs most often prescribed are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or SSRIs, which include fluvoxamine (under the brand name Luvox), fluoxetine (Prozac), and sertraline (Zoloft), among others. In cases of treatment-resistant OCD, other classes of medication, such as tricyclic antidepressants or atypical antipsychotics, may be prescribed. Medication is frequently used in conjunction with therapy.

Can OCD come back after treatment?
Yes. Major life transitions, periods of stress, or other factors can cause symptoms to return or, if they were never fully eradicated, to ramp back up in intensity. For some, these relapses are brief and do not require additional treatment; identifying specific triggers and practicing the skills learned in therapy can help speed their course. For others, returning to therapy for a brief period can help address the underlying stress and strengthen coping mechanisms.
