I am a licensed psychologist with over 18 years of experience, with specialized training in mindfulness and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy.
I believe clients have the right to be heard and listened to in a non-judgmental, warm, and open environment. I incorporate large doses of humor and compassion within each session, helping to give you the most beneficial and comfortable experience. I would value the opportunity to explore the life issues that have brought you to this site. Making the first call is extremely difficult; yet the most important step towards finding a meaningful partnership with a therapist that can help guide you. I specialize in mindful and value based approaches to help move towards a life filled with vitality.

I'm trained in effective modalities including EMDR, IFS, ImTT, ketamine-assisted therapy, and more.
I’m continually amazed and inspired by our capacity towards resilience —not just to overcome trauma, but to grow from it. Whether big or small, trauma affects everyone differently. Even what seems minor can deeply shape our beliefs, happiness, and how we move through the world.

Welcome, I’m glad you’re here. Maybe you're here because you feel stuck in some way, and are looking for some help in moving past this. Sometimes this looks like honoring and calming the “inner critic”, or touching into and working with self-doubt in order to retake control. Past experiences and trauma can impede our present, but lasting change is possible. I can help by using an integrated approach of Internal Family Systems (IFS), psychodynamic and mindfulness-based therapy.

I’m also trained in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) for those seeking deeper, transformative work in a safe and structured setting.
Therapy is such a vulnerable process and opening yourself up to the possibility of change can seem scary but I assure you it can also be really exciting. Giving yourself the gift to move past events that may be making you feel stuck can mean the difference between that weight staying on your shoulders or finally lifting. You can offer your nervous system the opportunity to respond differently as you learn tools to help. If you are ready to work with a therapist that will help navigate you to the deepest parts of yourself, to find and get to know your true self, and be free of negative thoughts & emotions, then please reach out.

EMDR-trained, Certified Brainspotting Practitioner, & Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy provider focused on trauma recovery.
I am presently welcoming new clients. I am privileged to be in a profession where I am a witness to the strength people have in their most difficult times. The buildup of stress, anxiety, disconnection, traumatic events, or major life transitions can leave you feeling helpless, hopeless, and looking for relief in ways that feel confusing and unauthentic. Being able to reflect and come to the conclusion that there has to be a different way to cope is the first step toward enacting change. In therapy, my clients work to heal from past hurts, address current stressors, and plan for a vibrant future.

What is Ketamine-Assisted Therapy?
Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy is a treatment method that involves using ketamine’s trance-inducing and pain-relieving properties to help individuals work through various mental and emotional challenges.

Why is Ketamine used for depression?
Ketamine is employed to treat depression, particularly when other treatments have failed, due to its unique, rapid-acting relief of depressive symptoms and its ability to enhance neural plasticity. Unlike conventional antidepressants, which may take weeks to be effective, ketamine can alleviate symptoms within hours, making it especially valuable for severe or suicidal depression. It acts by blocking NMDA receptors, subsequently promoting the release of neurotrophic factors like BDNF, which aid in the formation of new synaptic connections, fostering neural resilience and reducing depressive symptoms. The psychotropic and dissociative effects of ketamine also provide a therapeutic window for patients to explore and reframe distressing thoughts and emotions under guided supervision, potentially resolving underlying psychological contributors to depression. While its use can be transformative, it necessitates cautious administration in controlled settings due to potential side effects and abuse risks.

How is Ketamine used in Psychotherapy
Ketamine can be utilized in therapy to facilitate psychological healing and transformation, particularly in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. When administered in controlled, subanesthetic doses, it induces altered states of consciousness, allowing individuals to access and explore suppressed or unconscious thoughts, emotions, and memories. This dissociative state creates a therapeutic window where patients, guided by a trained psychotherapist, can work through traumatic experiences, reframe negative thought patterns, and address the emotional roots of their mental health challenges. The synergistic combination of ketamine’s psychotropic effects and psychotherapeutic intervention aims to promote lasting change, enhance self-awareness, and improve overall mental well-being, providing a valuable option for those with treatment-resistant mental health conditions.

What happens in Ketamine therapy?
In ketamine psychotherapy, patients undergo a series of sessions where they receive controlled doses of ketamine, typically via injection or infusion, under the supervision of a trained healthcare provider. Ketamine induces a trance-like or altered state of consciousness, which enables patients to access and explore deep-seated thoughts, emotions, and memories that are typically unconscious or inaccessible. Throughout this altered state, a trained psychotherapist guides the patient to help them process their experiences, offering support and intervention to help the individual address and reframe traumatic memories or negative thought patterns. This combination of pharmacological and psychotherapeutic approaches aims to create lasting positive changes in mental health and well-being by resolving underlying psychological issues and enhancing the individual's coping mechanisms and resilience. The process can be particularly beneficial for individuals dealing with treatment-resistant mental health conditions like severe depression, anxiety, and PTSD.
