I have extensive training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing ( EMDR).
Relationships are at the heart of our emotional well-being and often, our deepest pain. Anxiety, depression, shame, and trauma-related symptoms often stem from past or present relationship experiences. You may be in an unhealthy or unfulfilling relationship, have experienced relationship betrayal, or struggling with the effects of early childhood trauma or neglect. Whatever the source of your emotional pain, I believe healing and growth are possible. I offer a safe, supportive space where we can work together to heal emotional pain and build more fulfilling relationships — with yourself and with others.

Acceptance, empathy, and respect are the core values I live by and believe necessary when establishing a safe space while walking through the challenges you are experiencing. I get it, it is hard taking the first step to seek help. You may have been going through some difficult situations for a long time, but it does not have to remain that way. I believe you are the expert of your life and I honor that by providing a sacred space for you to process your thoughts and feelings. Together, we can discover your natural ability that fosters the change you seek.

I use integrative Person-Centered therapy and EMDR therapy.
There are seasons in a woman’s life that ask everything of her—seasons of holding, of becoming, of quietly unraveling. It can feel like chapters rewritten mid-sentence—unexpected transitions, quiet griefs, or questions that echo late at night. You may be carrying old pain or present tension, unsure how to move forward. Whether you are a woman balancing the weight of invisible expectations, or a young woman navigating identity, relationships, or the ache of past wounds, or someone on the tender journey through pregnancy or postpartum, you deserve a space where your story can breathe.

Using EMDR and CBT, we get into the real stuff, the patterns, the beliefs, the nervous system responses that have been running the show.
You're the one everyone calls. The capable one, the dependable one, the one who just figures it out. And you do, every single time. But lately? It's heavier than it used to be. You're tired in a way that sleep doesn't fix. You're functioning, but you know you're not really living. If you're honest, you've been putting yourself last for so long you're not even sure what you actually need anymore. A lot of my clients grew up learning early that their feelings and needs weren't important. Sound familiar? Then you're in exactly the right place.

Who is EMDR for?
EMDR was initially developed as a treatment for individuals with Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), for whom memories of a deeply distressing experience can be inadvertently triggered by random everyday events. The procedure has since been applied in the treatment of many other conditions. For example, it is used by some therapists to treat anxiety disorders including panic and phobias, depression, dissociative disorders, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and some personality disorders. It is suitable for adolescents and adults.

Why do people need EMDR?
People need EMDR as a way to manage distressing memories that in some way hamper the ability to function in the present. The procedure is believed to target the way memories are stored in the brain. Evidence indicates that past disturbing experiences cause ongoing distress because they were not adequately processed, and when such memories are triggered in the present, they are accompanied by all the emotions, thoughts, and physical sensations as the initial experience.

What problems does EMDR treat?
First and foremost, EMDR is intended as a treatment for PTSD, to defuse distressing memories that intrude on and impair everyday functioning. It is also often used to help those who are subject to panic attacks, phobias, and other forms of anxiety. In addition, EMDR has been used to treat individuals with depression, eating disorders, and personality disorders.

What happens in EMDR therapy?
First the therapist takes an individual’s history, and then the therapist and client decide which distressing experience(s) will be the target(s) of the exercise, delivered via a side-to-side visual stimulus requiring lateral eye movements. The client will be asked to activate thoughts, feelings, and any body sensations related to the troubling experience. The eye movements are said to reduce the emotional charge of the memory, so that the experience can then be safely discussed with the therapist and digested, minimizing its ability to trigger anxiety.
