Amelia is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate for Central Psych Charlotte in the state of North Carolina. She is a graduate of the Master of Arts of Christian Counseling Program at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary—Charlotte. She collaborates with adolescents(13+), young adults, and adult individuals in their journeys with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, identity development, life transitions, body dissatisfaction, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and faith integration. She chose to pursue a career in counseling because she wants to give others a safe place to be heard and experience change.

I offer counseling for PTSD, childhood trauma, anxiety, depression, OCD and relationship difficulties. If you struggle with PTSD because of the past traumas, I will gently help you decrease distress by processing and making sense of traumatic events and equipping you to respond rather than react in triggering situations. If you need counseling for anxiety and depression, we will work on skills to regulate your emotions, bring your anxiety to a healthy level, and help you experience joy, purpose and connection with others. If you seek counseling for OCD, I can help you tolerate uncertainty and fears to improve your quality of life.
