My ideal client may look successful on the outside but feels overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally exhausted on the inside. They may be navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, or major life transitions while carrying the weight of responsibilities and expectations. They want therapy that truly understands them and one that is culturally responsive, compassionate, and practical. Their goal is not just to cope, but to heal, gain clarity, strengthen resilience, and move forward with confidence, balance, and purpose.

My main goal in a couple, family, or individual setting is to create a safe and supportive environment where individuals can explore and address their relational challenges. I can help individuals who want to manage stress, anxiety, and depression navigate life transitions such as career changes and relationship challenges, cope with trauma and grief, enhance self-esteem/self-awareness, and address behavioral or emotional issues. As a result of the work that I do, clients often gain insight, develop coping strategies, build resilience, stop unwanted repetitive patterns, and achieve a greater sense of well-being and fulfillment.

I believe our mental health is just as important as our physical health, and my goal is to remove the stigmatism that is associated with addressing what is often times referred to is “mental illness.” When in fact, one of the benefits of counseling is to find a neutral resource to directly listen to you and to help you sort through “life", when things become overwhelming and challenging. My therapeutic style is to focus on the solution and not the actual problem. My goal is to provide you with the tools necessary to fill your toolbox.

As a Christian therapist, I thoughtfully integrate faith in a way that is respectful, client-led, and aligned with your personal beliefs and values.
I am currently accepting new clients. Taking the first step toward therapy is a courageous act, & I consider it an honor to walk alongside you in that journey. I offer a Christ-centered, faith-integrated therapeutic space where healing, emotional restoration, and personal growth can unfold at your pace. I believe mental health and faith are deeply connected, and therapy can be a meaningful place to honor both. My approach is rooted in relational therapy, grounded in the belief that lasting change begins within a safe, genuine, and trusting therapeutic relationship. When you feel seen, heard, and understood, healing has space to grow

Feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck in your own head? If your mind won’t slow down, you’re overwhelmed by expectations, or you feel unsure about your next steps—you’re not alone. I work with teens and adults navigating anxiety, overthinking, relationship stress, life transitions, and the pressures of school, career, and motherhood. Many of my clients are used to “holding it all together” on the outside, but feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected on the inside. Therapy offers a supportive space to process what’s going on, better understand your emotions, and start making changes that actually feel doable.

Do you know your triggers? What is emotional self-neglect? What disturbs your peace? How long have you been carrying shame? Are you physically present but emotionally absent? Are you challenged with your faith? Maybe you're struggling with singleness or feeling overwhelmed by marriage. What happens when the rescuer needs rescuing? How long has your heart been broken? What about the person or family member who hurt you but never apologized, and yet you still interact with them every day? Or maybe you have it all together and just need a safe space. When was the last time you were kind to yourself? What do you want for yourself?

Accepting new clients in NC, SC, FL and New Jersey! You're the strong one. The dependable one. The one who gets it done. But lately, even with all your success and pride, something feels...off. I help successful Black women finally have a space where you don't have to hold it all together. You can say the quiet parts out loud, unpack what's really going on beneath the surface, and begin healing from the patterns that no longer serve you.

Hi! I'm really glad you're here. Therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you're use to being the "strong one" for everyone else. My goal is to create a calm, welcoming, judgement-free space where you can simply be. I believe healing doesn't happen in polished, perfect moments, it happens in quiet, messy, honest spaces the ones we often hide. The "I'm fine" moments that aren't actually fine. You don't need the right words or a plan. Just come as you are. We'll move at your place, making space for real, meaningful change. You don't have to do this alone.

Christian Therapists
Why is it important for a therapist to be culturally sensitive?
Therapists and clients don’t need to share the same belief system or background to be able to work effectively together, but a therapist whose training includes a focus on cultural competence may be better able to form a therapeutic bond with individuals from a range of backgrounds, as they will have experience in tailoring their approach to each client—and will be prepared to acknowledge and consider the effects of culture, religion, and other factors on each individual.

Why is it important to find a therapist sensitive to Christian values?
Each person brings a unique history and background to therapy, making it important to find a licensed therapist who is trained in a broad range of treatment modalities. In addition, for people who grow up in a faith tradition that strongly influences the way they conduct their everyday life, finding a therapist who understands or shares that background can ease the disclosure of sensitive information and facilitate the therapeutic process. For some clients, a Christian therapist is likely to incorporate faith-based principles into emotional healing techniques.

How do I recognize an effective Christian therapist?
Christian therapists are licensed mental health professionals—holding a master’s or doctoral degree in medicine, nursing, psychology, counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy—who are also familiar with Christian beliefs and values. They have an understanding of the importance that Christian principles play in the lives of individuals and families, which allows them to be especially sensitive to the kinds of struggles that can affect daily functioning. Like all effective therapists, a Christian therapist will have undergone training and certification in a variety of treatment modalities that help people through crises and enable them to master the challenges of life.

Why might someone feel comfortable with a Christian therapist?
While training, qualifications, and experience are always important, research has long established that a strong alliance between client and therapist is a major contributor to therapeutic success. An alliance is likely to be strengthened with a therapist who not only is responsive to questions and concerns but also shares a client’s faith and values. Sensitivity to spiritual matters as well as to everyday struggles can provide a welcome sense of safety and contribute to the bond between client and therapist, both of which support the therapeutic process.

Who is included in Psychology Today’s directory of Christian therapists?
The directory of Christian therapists includes professionals who have shared their background in their profiles. However, not all therapists choose to disclose this information, and they may not appear in search results for this reason. The directory also shows therapists who indicate that they have extensive experience working with Christian clients, regardless of their own background or religious affiliation.
