Ladies... our lives aren't always easy. The demands and expectations of being a wife, partner, mother, friend, etc. can be overwhelming, but we often push through. Sometimes to the point that we've pushed- through so long that it becomes the norm. But what happens when you no longer feel as though you have the energy or desire or will to keep going? Or you continue to ignore those feelings of fatigue, stress, frustration, misunderstanding, depletion, sadness, etc? Have the struggles from past experiences, trauma encroached on your life, making your ability to manage your current stressors that much more difficult?

Your child will learn to express themselves, tame their
anger
, increase confidence, and will begin to listen.
It's as if you are walking on egg shells every single day. Your child is controlling, bossy, stubborn and strong-willed. You've given up on 'my way or the high way' because the tantrums are just no longer worth it. Your son or daughter has ADHD, Aspergers, or is Gifted. You need help. You are looking for answers and solutions- and need immediate support to get back in charge. Some days it is absolutely exhausting- and other days it is so easy! There's the battles, the refusing to wear certain clothes, picky eating, not doing chores, not listening, not doing homework, acting out and the list goes on.

anger management
, behavioral struggles, depression, emotional regulation, grief and loss, relationship issues, school-related issues, learning difficulties, and self-esteem struggles. Feeling accepted as you are, openly expressing what you are thinking and feeling, and exploring new strategies for managing thoughts and feelings are basic to the counseling process. , body image, self-esteem, strengths clarification, and coping skills building.
I strive to meet people where they are in their journey. I aim to create a safe environment where people can process underlying trauma and life-challenges that may get in the way of living in alignment with their intuition/goals. Part of my work with people is about reframing and challenging negative self-talk, helping set realistic short-term goals to aid in accomplishing long-term ones, improving emotion regulation, and developing mindfulness skills. I am an ally in all forms and address people-problems regardless of labels. I strive to help individuals gain the inner peace, clarity, and direction they are looking for.

Anger Management Therapists
How long does therapy take for anger management?
Treatment duration depends on the person’s specific challenges and circumstances. There are treatments for anger problems that are shorter and more goal-oriented, like cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which can last weeks to months. Others, like dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) may last between six months and a year, while a more intensive treatment, like psychodynamic therapy, is open-ended, and clients may see their therapist for a year or longer.
How do you know if you need therapy for anger management?
Everyone gets mad from time to time. But when angry outbursts become frequent and cause damage to relationships, whether at home or in the office, it may be a good time to look into therapy. A therapist can assess where a client’s anger may be coming from, suggest strategies for averting angry outbursts, and help a client create a plan to become a calmer version of themselves.
Is there medication for anger management?
Medications do exist that help people mitigate the feeling of anger, but these are reserved for people with anger-related psychiatric disorders, such as intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or in some cases borderline personality disorder. In these cases, antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help with the client’s symptoms. In most cases of anger management, however, talk therapy is the recommended treatment, along with lifestyle changes where relevant.
What’s the best way to encourage someone to seek help for anger issues?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either themselves or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
