Many of us are struggling with anxiety and depression in these challenging times. As a holistic practitioner, my goal is to help my clients find the priority that will allow them to discover a route to a more satisfying life. Too often we remain constricted with pain and fear from the past or broken dreams and worries about the future. If we are able to connect with the healer within, we can find peace and stability in our present circumstances, no matter how chaotic our external world. We can find a way to remove the blockages that keep us from seeing the Truth and Beauty all around us.

Understanding and making sense of your experiences and patterns can help you live a more balanced life - a life which empowers you and generates a positive path to growth, health, and well-being. The goal of our therapy would be to bring more awareness to your choices and patterns, so that you can be empowered to make more mindful decisions. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and make sense of the past and meet new challenges in your life with more clarity and balance.

I want to support you in being who you really are. This has led me to the very roots of suffering, from the perspective of the ancient sages and from the perspective of modern trauma therapy. I support my people in waking up out of the conditioned mind. I wield the wisdom of the body to facilitate deep transformation. I weave a nuanced understanding of the particular challenges modern minds face into what I offer to support my people in safely opening more and more fully to the freedom, love, and deep internal well-being available to us when we connect to who we truly are. I am an explicitly anti-authoritarian therapist.

Something crazy or intense happened. Maybe you know what it was or maybe you don't. Maybe it's still happening. Or maybe something has always felt a bit off or harder than seems necessary. Or maybe you just feel stuck. I would be happy to walk the path with you of finding ways to resolve, rebuild, and renegotiate how you respond to situations, people, and yourself. I am trained in many body- and nervous system-based modalities, such as Somatic Experiencing, NARM, BASE, co-regulating touch, Brainspotting, NLP, Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), & EMDR. I also work with couples learning how to communicate better.

You might be here because everything feels harder than it “should.” You’re overwhelmed, burned out, or exhausted from constantly managing things others don’t have to think about—trying to keep up with your brain, your body, or both. Maybe starting tasks feels impossible, routines don’t stick, or your energy and symptoms are unpredictable. I work with neurodivergent individuals (ADHD, autism, OCD etc.) and those living with chronic or undiagnosed illness such as general autoimmune conditions, endometriosis, T1D, POTS, dysautonomia, and rare diseases. Together, we focus on understanding your system—not forcing it to fit expectations.

Transpersonal Counseling is very positive and present centered.
Are you a spiritual person and/or a highly sensitive person? Do you often feel misunderstood or too empathic for the issues in our complicated world? Do you practice yoga and/or meditate? Would you like a therapist who can help lead you to your own inner wisdom and peace? I use tools from many wisdom traditions as well as traditional psychotherapy. I value spiritual encouragement and mysticism rather than looking through the lens of pathology and patriarchy.

I enjoy working with anyone who desires to maximize their strengths and overcome weaknesses. A desire to change and improve life, together with a willingness to work are the only requirements for good therapy. Change is possible for everyone and I enjoy enhancing and utilizing the natural strengths of people as they address growth issues. While understanding from where you have come in family and individual background, together we will develop goals that address the issues you desire to change. I work with individuals, couples and families to assist with any issues of concern.

March, 2026: I have limited openings for new patients. You are welcome to contact me and our practice manager will schedule a consultation as I am able and will discuss your care needs and therapy goals. I have dedicated my 20 year long career to the premise that we must know what is possible and have capacity to do it before we can be free to choose. During my academic studies in Psychology, Philosophy, Religion, and Social Work I was introduced to the intersections of Queer and Gender theories and became ignited with the framework of knowledge, power, control, and paths to liberation, all of which continue to inform my practice.

The goal of Psychotherapy is to feel and function better in the world. That's what I help my clients do. I have been in practice for 40+ years, and have trained broadly and deeply in experiential, interpersonal and couples therapy. Before I was a psychologist, I was a nurse, and offer that background in helping as well. I bring the wisdom and insight of years of practice and life experience. My passion is working with couples. I have a track record of successful results in this area. I also enjoy working with individuals in response to depression, anxiety, life transitions, existential and spiritual issues.

I bring a transpersonal view, because healing is also about meaning
You've spent a lifetime making sure everyone else is okay. Let's make sure you are too. You're the one who holds it together. Who shows up, figures it out, and keeps going, even when you're depleted. You've probably spent years making yourself smaller, more agreeable, more useful, just to feel safe or loved. And somewhere in all of that, you lost the thread back to yourself. I work with adults who are ready to stop abandoning themselves- people pleasers, burned-out caregivers, and survivors of narcissistic abuse who are beginning to understand that the exhaustion they carry has a name, a history, and a way through.

Transpersonal Therapists
How does transpersonal therapy work?
Transpersonal therapy focuses on a patient’s spirituality and meaning in life. Transpersonal therapists might borrow from Eastern traditions as well as Western psychology. They may incorporate techniques including meditation, visualization, hypnotherapy, dream analysis, and or breathwork to produce altered states of consciousness. The therapist helps the patient to access their consciousness and spirituality to work through difficult mental states.

How long does transpersonal therapy last?
Because the goal is to understand a person as a whole, including their spirituality, treatment can range from months to a year or beyond. While patients learn the philosophy behind transpersonal therapy during treatment, they can also practice its principles throughout life after therapy sessions have ended.

Is transpersonal therapy effective?
Patients have found success with transpersonal therapy; this method is useful in improving anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity, fears, relationship problems, and other concerns. Improvements in problem areas can continue even after transpersonal therapy ends, as individuals can utilize the tools they’ve learned during treatment sessions.

What are the limitations of transpersonal therapy?
There is some research on the effectiveness of transpersonal therapy, but empirical support for this therapy approach is sparse. It does not have the robust evidence base of other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy.
