Hi! I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress management for children, teens, and adults. I like to utilize a creative approach to therapy to help tailor to you as an individual. I view myself as an eclectic counselor as I like to pull from various theories to best fit your needs. I mostly tend to utilize cognitive behavior therapy, mindfulness, expressive art therapy, and solution-focused therapy. I chose to become a counselor because I love to witness the growth that others achieve. I have a passion for healing and counseling allows me to be a part of others’ healing journeys almost every day.

Do you feel like you cannot say no to others? Is it hard to make decisions because you are scared of the unknown? Do you feel like you have lost yourself? You may feel alone like no one could ever understand but I can. You can start working towards uncovering what is blocking you from finding your authentic self in order to step into the life you deserve. You deserve to feel the freedom that comes when you leave the fears behind you and accept yourself for who you are.

You feel alone and you’re not sure where to go from here. You’ve tried to change things but nothing seems to work. You’re frustrated with where you are and what is going on in your life. You feel like you’ve exhausted all other options. You’re hoping to find someone who can listen without the fear of judgement. Who can offer support and help you get answers. You’re wanting the thoughts that tell you “you’re not good enough” to stop. To wake in the morning without feeling drained. Whether this is a new pain or a chronic one, by looking for help you are taking a courageous step. I understand how scary it can be to ask for help.

It is normal after something terrible happens to need help! After what happened, you might be having nightmares, thoughts about what happened coming to your mind even when you don't want it to, or feeling like you are back at the time when the bad thing happened even when you're not there. It could also be that it happened a long time ago and you were able to deal with it for awhile but you have reached a point where that is not working anymore for you or maybe your child. These things are hard and it is brave to take that next step to work on it in therapy.

I work with people who are experiencing transitions of all kinds: employment, relationships, unexpected events. We make space for the feelings that arise in these times of grief, self-doubt, confusion, or overwhelm. We will tap into places of strength within the individual as well as social and community supports that may be available. Everyone has the desire for growth and wholeness, and an inner capacity to heal and adapt.
