I am a 20 year private practice therapist specializing in women and older adolescent females. I take an active and challenging therapeutic approach. I meld traditional psychological approaches, life coaching modalities, and trauma work to tap into the small and large ways traumas, significant events and historic negative beliefs about yourself may be holding you back.
Therapy does NOT need to last for years if you have an experienced and passionate clinician who has seen what has worked after working with 1000's of clients. I have developed techniques and approaches that are effective. We will move the dial on day 1!

Maybe you often feel out of place, like you’re a burden, or so tired of putting effort into pleasing everyone around you. I want to help you break free from the opinions of others, from self doubt, or the fear of being “too much.” There may be some days that you're honestly not even sure you are worthy of love and belonging. I specialize in navigating and overcoming traumas, such as childhood and/or religious, becoming confident with boundaries, all from a neurodivergent friendly approach.

Human growth is not a linear path and change is happening around you constantly- and sometimes that really sucks. I am committed to helping you ride the wave of these life fluctuations. We will observe your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to identify themes, gauge what is currently working, and learn where we can develop some new skills. Ideal clients will want to gain skills in opening up to difficult emotions, communication, and leaning into what they can control while letting go of what they can't.

When certain parts of our life feel out of control, it creates stress that impacts other areas of our life. Seeking help can feel like a chore. Not only do you have to find a therapist that feels like a good fit, but you have to tell your story to a stranger. I know all of this, and I want to make it feel easy, productive, and worth your time. I enjoy helping all people, but some of my refined interests include traumatic stress, attachment injuries, SUD's, and life transitions. I can help adults, teens, kids, couples and families. In my work with teens, I have interest and experience in helping adoptees and transnational adoptees.

Are you seeking to connect deeper with your intuitive self? I dream of a world where humanity tunes into intuitive sense for guidance. As a culture we have ventured far away from the infinite intelligence of “the still small voice within” and formulated an over reliance on the analytical mind. My ideal client is individuals struggling with addiction, anxiety, impulsivity, and/or codependency who want to connect with the intuitive wisdom that has been blocked by fear and shame. The goal in facing these blocks will be to increase feelings of self love, presence, and serenity.

When I was an adolescent I was a Bart Simpson. I was routinely sent to the office, struggled with peer relationships and had frequent conflicts with authority figures. I relate well with teen and young adult males because I still partake in lifting, skating, and gaming. It can be difficult navigating the labyrinths of life, be it conflicts with parents, the effects of divorce, the aftermath of abuse, etc. Long story short, with good decisions and coping skills, you can overcome your problems and correct the course of your ship.

Here’s the thing: you are much more magnificent and brilliant than you ever thought possible! You may just need guidance & support to go inward and discover this truth. You may have already gone to therapy and still find yourself stuck in patterns of victimhood, scarcity, unworthiness, disempowerment, shame, anxiety, depression, and fear, just to name a few. Do you still get caught up in your old habits and stories, which causes suffering for you and those you love? Do you have anxiety and fear around stepping into your power and dream life?

I believe that each person holds the inherent capacity for growth and change, but often, life’s challenges—whether large or small—can leave us feeling stuck or disconnected from ourselves. My role as a therapist is to provide a space where you can reconnect with that inner wisdom and find the clarity and peace that have always been within you, even when it feels out of reach. Through mindful awareness of our current coping strategies and a compassionate approach to our more protective parts, we can love ourselves back into a state of wholeness.

Like you, my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, afraid, and stuck. You may feel frustrated that you have already had therapy and done a lot of work, yet find yourself in the same patterns that you want to move beyond. You may feel unfulfilled in your relationships and wonder if things can get better. You might even notice a pattern or theme in your relationships that you need to make sense of. You may struggle with a harsh inner critic and have a difficult time building a positive relationship with yourself. You might feel hopeless because you have felt this way for a long time with little relief.

Cue the anti depressant commercial with the cartoon figure, the tiny rain cloud, and the narration 'feeling sad, lost, lonely, trouble sleeping, anxious, etc etc?' ..But for real, life can be a real ass kicker sometimes. Or maybe it's been so long, you can't remember the last time you weren't feeling overwhelmed or empty. Either way, whatever your struggles, you don't have to do it alone. And I'm glad you're looking for someone to help you.

Here's the truth. I'm unsure of the magical statement that will give you the strength to reach out and start your healing journey, but I do know that I am here willing to connect and help you get on the path you'd like to be on. I believe that there is an innate need to fulfill a need for connection amongst majority of human beings, and I believe in order to do some good therapy a strong connection needs to be established with your therapist. I'm here to build that connection with you, and do my best at understanding your experience and which struggles we're needing to address/approach.
