I have great respect for individuals willing to engage in the therapy. It is not an easy process, but it does provide an opportunity for real change and healing. I have spent much of my career working with individuals struggling with issues of addiction, depression and anxiety, and other severe and persistent mental illness and personality disorders. Much time has also been spent working with those recovering from a history of trauma or history of physical, verbal, and sexual abuse.
My practice at Safe Harbor offers Christian counseling which is gospel centered and grace based, and provides the opportunity to integrate a biblical framework and understanding of the world with effective, compassionate, and evidence based treatment.
My clinical work draws heavily from cognitive behavioral and reality therapies, and focuses on understanding an individual's story. I am a strong believer in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ; that He loves to enter our messy and broken lives to bring about healing to us and our relationships.
