Therapy should feel approachable and collaborative, something we do together, I use EMDR and other trauma-informed approaches, tailored to you.
I work well with anyone carrying more than their share of stress: burnout, compassion fatigue, or trauma. That includes people in demanding, high-responsibility roles, first responders among them, but also professionals and caregivers whose lives have asked them to function under pressure for too long. Having spent nearly a decade as a 911 dispatcher myself, I bring real lived understanding of high-stress work into the room. Alongside my colleagues at Bloom Therapeutics, I help clients process what they've carried and rebuild sustainable coping skills.

I am certified in EMDR and trained in EMDR 2
If you struggle with how your past continues to impact who you are today, you are ready and willing to take concrete steps to process it; let's talk. Your past wounds do not have to control how you are experiencing your life today. I want to learn what happened to you and go beyond a diagnosis that may have been given to you. I specialize in treating complex trauma/PTSD and dissociation.
My ideal clients are motivated and actively engaged in their own healing journey. I truly believe we are the 'placebo factor' in this process, and this is also backed by science, and a therapist is a witness to this process.

I use techniques like solution-focused therapy, bibliotherapy, play therapy, and EMDR.
Asking for help is a brave and strong act. Seeking therapy doesn’t indicate weakness—it shows your readiness to confront challenges and grow. As Christians, we are reminded that God calls us to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2) and seek His guidance in times of need. If you choose, we can offer a faith-centered space to explore your goals, leaning on God’s wisdom and grace. However, spirituality doesn’t have to be part of your therapy. With or without faith as a focus, we’ll provide compassionate support to overcome obstacles, grow, and discover your unique purpose. This journey is about you.

Have you ever looked in the mirror and not recognized the face looking at back at you? Has life ever knocked you down so hard that you didn't know how to get back up? When was the last time you genuinely smiled? If you answered yes to any of those questions, I would love to assist you! You see, it’s my belief that we all enter the world as blank slates until this thing called life begins to write our stories for us! Many of our stories have been written with trauma, pain, depression, low self-worth and fear. So much of our vision has been tainted by the past that we no longer dream of the future! Together, we can change that!!!

EMDR Therapists
Who is EMDR for?
EMDR was initially developed as a treatment for individuals with Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), for whom memories of a deeply distressing experience can be inadvertently triggered by random everyday events. The procedure has since been applied in the treatment of many other conditions. For example, it is used by some therapists to treat anxiety disorders including panic and phobias, depression, dissociative disorders, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and some personality disorders. It is suitable for adolescents and adults.
Why do people need EMDR?
People need EMDR as a way to manage distressing memories that in some way hamper the ability to function in the present. The procedure is believed to target the way memories are stored in the brain. Evidence indicates that past disturbing experiences cause ongoing distress because they were not adequately processed, and when such memories are triggered in the present, they are accompanied by all the emotions, thoughts, and physical sensations as the initial experience.
What problems does EMDR treat?
First and foremost, EMDR is intended as a treatment for PTSD, to defuse distressing memories that intrude on and impair everyday functioning. It is also often used to help those who are subject to panic attacks, phobias, and other forms of anxiety. In addition, EMDR has been used to treat individuals with depression, eating disorders, and personality disorders.
What happens in EMDR therapy?
First the therapist takes an individual’s history, and then the therapist and client decide which distressing experience(s) will be the target(s) of the exercise, delivered via a side-to-side visual stimulus requiring lateral eye movements. The client will be asked to activate thoughts, feelings, and any body sensations related to the troubling experience. The eye movements are said to reduce the emotional charge of the memory, so that the experience can then be safely discussed with the therapist and digested, minimizing its ability to trigger anxiety.
