My experience as a 14-year law enforcement officer led to my understanding of the unique and often complex issues that arise from serving communities and country, including addiction and trauma. I use evidence-based practices with a unique and holistic approach to healing and understand the culture and language associated with veteran and first responder communities. Drawing upon my Native American roots, I incorporate indigenous techniques when appropriate for the client.

As a therapist, I believe in empathy. Unconditional positive regard is high on my list of priorities when interacting with clients of mine. I believe that we are all, more alike than different. I seek to rid stigmas and to do away with labels. We are greater, together! I seek to make therapy feel easy peasy! I take an eclectic approach when dealing with each client because everyone is different. At times, I blend treatment modalities in an effort to meet clients where they are, while finding what works. Easy dialogue is the vehicle that makes things cohesive.

Let's face it, life can be stressful. That stress can become even more pronounced as you navigate new transitions like becoming an adult, moving to a new city, starting a new job, or leaving a relationship.
