I have been helping others realize their mental health goals for over 22 years. I utilize a client-centered approach because I believe therapy should focus on each individual client's wants and needs, which vary from person to person. I often use humor in therapy, because I believe laughter is one of the greatest things you can share in this life. I have excellent experience with young children, teens, adults, couples, and families. I have helped people with anger, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, substance abuse, relationship and life changes, impulse control, and many other topics.

Much training results in a bounty of techniques to assist those women and men who have empowerment issues which include relationship and work problems, depression, chronic illness and who are stuck in old patterns and behaviors. I enjoy helping individual adults, couples, and families recognize and overcome any problematic cognitive or behavioral patterns that play a role in holding them back from living their best lives. Sometimes these problematic patterns center around how we think about things like our own worthiness, the trustworthiness of others, and what a successful parent/partner/worker "looks" like. We have been learning these core beliefs about ourselves and the world since before we could walk. Sometimes we stop updating those core beliefs when we get new information and we become stuck. Change (no matter what it is) challenges your perceptions, feeling, memories, habits, and relationships. It starts out hard and messy, but it is growth. You are becoming a better parent, friend, partner, worker. But, you may not yet have much confidence in the decisions you're making. You want someone to listen carefully and to not question your sanity, in a non-judgmental, compassionate and insightful way. You know self questioning is normal, but you also know that talking it over with someone who has your best interests at heart will help you to feel better and more confident about your choices.

My clients present with mild to severe anxiety, depression or life related stress. Sometimes life gets overwhelming and my clients want support and also to learn new skills. They want to get back to some level of normalcy and by working in a collaborative way we work on achieving and crushing treatment plan goals. My clients just want to be ok! They want to be the best version of themselves and I help guide that process.

As a seasoned therapist of 32 years, I have a unique set of skills that allows me to assist in your healing. I practice the spiriutal concepts that I believe in and the healing techniques that I love. The techniques that I love the most are EFT, EMDR, Rapid Resolution Therapy, and Aroma Freedom Technique. These techniques allow me all that is necessary for us to heal your trauma issues or any other issues you may have. My passion is creating a space for all of us to unite and enrich your life. This is my life’s work – to give voice to recovery. I provide a strengths-based, solution-focused environment to help clients identify concerns, establish achievable goals, and obtain higher functioning. Sometmes life becomes challenging. At times helpful support can be helpful. I, am currently employed as a clinical therapist in the State of Illinois. In addition, I am beginning to work with the aging population. I, have, also, worked in the medical milieu as a psychiatric technician, as well as a hospital volunteer worker. My years of experience working as an advocate/counselor/social worker, in addition to my work in remote sessions with the general population supports my clinical skills.
