I have a wide variety of expertise and I can work with those involved in the Colorado Criminal Justice systems. I have worked in Jails & Prison's in the state of Colorado. I have worked in Community / Rural Mental Health Centers and Dual Diagnosis clients. I am trained in Bilateral Sychronization Therapy, new and innovative from Colorado, which helps the brain resolve trauma. I am trained in Seeking Safety, addiction and Trauma centered therapy, evidenced based.

I have thirty years experience in private practice. My background is primarily in philosophy, dialogue and self-inquiry, in ‘ontology’(what has to do with being a self), in religious and spiritual traditions, and transpersonal psychology. I regard teachings that see human problems and suffering as part of our conscious development as more accurate and more helpful than disorder-based theories prevalent in modern medicine and modern psychology. They are more effective because they help us see the source of our problems with a depth that enables us to grow towards the health and fulfillment we innately long for.

My ideal client wishes to get help, recognizes that I can’t “fix anyone”, and is willing to take the time to work on themselves with the tools I can provide to them. I don’t want to be their expert but rather their guide down the path of self discovery with their understanding that I don’t judge my clients, nor do I have any expectations of them other than their desire to help themselves. This model is only for my adolescent to adult clients. Kids rarely think they need help. I’ve always imagined that I’m on the planet to help people who are marginalized, like victims of trauma, special needs kids, women and our frail elderly.

I also have a tremendous passion in social justice and JEDI related advocacy alongside clients and community members that identify as 2SLGBTQ+ and/or BIPOC. In my work with children, teens, and adults (including parent coaching/skill-building), I seek to understand the sources of struggle and also explore resources and resiliency often found in such stressors.
