Announcement icon I offer televideo therapy for those who prefer this. I am fully vaccinated and my office has COVID precautions and HIPPA filters.
Do you wish for greater success, self-acceptance, love and connection? Do you desire to live your life more authentically? Difficult life histories and current obstacles hinder us from becoming who we want to be. With my help, past events and unfruitful ways of being can be processed and transformed so that they no longer impact your present or future. Modalities such as EMDR, psychodynamic therapy, emotionally focused therapy and sensorimotor psychotherapy will help you discover and embody a new way of being. I am fiercely committed to helping you clear your path forward to embrace greater ease, integrity, belonging, and love.
I specialize in treating trauma and attachment in all age groups (0-100). Individualized treatment can help with relationships, life transitions, depression, anxiety, panic, dissociation, PTSD, and overall mental health. Special populations include abuse and rape survivors, adopted individuals, trauma survivors in relationship, and multicultural couples.
I offer culturally sensitive and gender-inclusive therapy. Your goals provide the basis for our work together, and we will work in a safe, nonjudgmental way. Your spirituality, whatever form it may take, is welcome in my office. Get the support you deserve from a professional psychologist. Enable your true being to shine ever more brightly in the world!

Susan Overhauser's Groups

Women's Support Group: Survivors of Sexual Trauma

This is an on-going group for women who have survived sexual trauma, whether it be assault, rape, incest, child sexual abuse, date rape, molestation, or marital rape. We explore the impact of the trauma(s), learn to identify and manage triggers, develop coping mechanisms, maintain safety, increase ability to access social support, tame PTSD, lessen anxiety and depression, process our experiences, build a plan for the future, and begin to heal somatically. Emotional safety is a high priority. Experience support under the guidance of a professional who is trained in trauma, abuse, and issues of sexuality. Call for an intake interview.
