Therapy doesn't have to suck, even when it's hard! When you work with me, expect moments of joy amidst the tough stuff. I have expertise in life issues like school and job functioning, stress, anxiety, and depression, and specialties like autism, PTSD, and DID. I love when clients bring their art into sessions. I enjoy writing and making music in my free time and am happy to discuss artists' creative goals. I work with individuals, families, and couples, and love children and teens. I work with all ages and genders including queer and trans folx.
My approach is eclectic and customized for every client's needs. I draw from CBT, DBT, IFS (Internal Family Systems) and Gottman Method, and am always learning new modalties and techniques. Whether you thrive in strict structure (such as with metrics, SMART goals, and homework) or prefer a decolonial, radical feminist approach, I will meet you where you are.
I don't believe in the idea that there's an age when people stop growing or are unable to change their habits. However old you are, give yourself credit for having the self-knowledge and humility to say you need support. Let's work together to make your dreams happen.
