My approach to OCD treatment is collaborative. I want to empower members to make decisions in their treatment. We'll break things down into manageable challenges rather than taking it all on at once. At NOCD, my team and I provide personalized and effective specialized treatment for OCD and related conditions, such as BFRBs (including skin-picking, nail-biting, and hair-pulling). Our understanding of the nuances of these conditions enables us to diagnose and treat them properly. We have received training in evidence-based treatments, including Exposure Response and Prevention (ERP) therapy—the gold standard treatment for OCD.
We also specialize in Habit Reversal Training (HRT), among others. When you start with NOCD, you'll work with me or be paired with a therapist in our network, based on your preferences. We’ll work to get to know you and create a treatment plan to help you effectively address your challenges and achieve your goals.
Plus, NOCD offers support between sessions through direct messaging and access to peer communities, ensuring you never feel alone. It can be challenging to share intrusive thoughts, compulsions, and the feelings associated with them, but talking about them is the first step in overcoming them.
