My counseling style is genuine, transparent and communicative. My compassion and genuine concern are always demonstrated in the work that I do and are at the core of the therapeutic relationship. My expertise is in working with children, adolescents and families from all situations and backgrounds. I work with clients experiencing individual issues related to depression, anxiety, trauma, grief/loss and also address family system and relationship problems. I counsel parents struggling with managing their families and careers, blended families and divorce, and those who are dealing with martial issues.
I have been a mental health counselor for over 15 years and have worked over many different settings and across various levels of care. My modalities include cognitive-behavioral therapy, client-centered therapy, solution-focused approaches and motivational interviewing. I also utilize trauma-focused care, and work on goals through a holistic approach.
I believe in a strong, collaborative relationship with my clients. My clients are in control of the outcome of their care, supported by guidance and encouragement. I believe the therapeutic alliance is the foundation of successful outcomes in therapy.
