I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Infant Massage Instructor. I have enjoyed serving individuals and families from all walks of life, in the Kansas City area and beyond, since 2006. I believe in the strength and adaptability of the human heart and I understand that building a trusting therapeutic alliance often leads to healing and a positive outlook in other facets of life.
Every person has innate strengths and room for growth or healing. In my practice, I take a person-centered approach. I listen; I share empathy, understanding, and unconditional positive regard. My hope is to help clients learn to draw from their strengths, while cultivating an undivided heart during challenging experiences.
My primary treatment modality is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I have also been trained in several other therapeutic modalities including EMDR, Biofeedback, Solution Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Theraplay Level 1, Play Therapy, and infant massage.
