About
I have experience working with children, individuals, couples and families on a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, mood disorders, parenting challenges, family and relationship issues, and various life changes and adjustment issues. I identify as Afro-Latina. I enjoy working with clients of all backgrounds, cultures and life experiences. My therapeutic approach is an integrative one where I pull from various therapy models and tailor to meet your unique needs and my style is open, genuine, welcoming and interactive.
My approach to therapy tends to draw from a humanistic, person-centered approach in that I believe you are the “expert” in the room and my role is to provide you a safe, open and judgment free space to bring out the answers that already lie within you. I believe in creating a space where you can come as you are.
Therapy can be a process that if properly utilized can assist you in your process of self-discovery, explore, understand and resolve some of your challenges and learn or unlearn whatever is needed to lead the healthiest life possible. Contact me so we can discuss further and thank you for considering me to work with you on your journey.
