I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the state of Vermont with 10 years of experience in the mental health field. I have worked in a variety of settings including: a partial hospitalization program for ages 11-17, a therapeutic K-12 alternative school, and in a college counseling center. I have worked with a wide range of needs including the areas of trauma, complex stress, moral injury or compassion fatigue, anxiety, anger, and depression. The therapeutic relationship is a true partnership. I take a client centered approach with the belief that “you hold the map and I have a flashlight”.
The therapeutic process, I believe to be balance of the exploration of “why” there is suffering with “how” do we get through discomfort in the moment. I may draw upon strategies from polyvagal theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy to support folks in achieving their goals and coping with difficult days.
