I am currently a licensed clinical professional counselor and a certified alcohol and drug counselor. I received my BA in psychology from the University of Arizona (Go Cats! ) and then received my MA in counseling psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, where I specialized in treating both mental health and substance abuse concerns. My experience has been primary with adults, adolescents, and their families who struggle with co-occurring concerns, which include substance abuse, anxiety/depression/mood instability, and additional concerns related to experiencing trauma.
I do specialize in treating all of the aforementioned concerns of substance abuse, anxiety, depression, mood instability, life transitions, and trauma/PTSD.
The interventions I use most often to help treat these concerns are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and existentialism. I always stand to empower my clients and to also work collaboratively to find solutions to problems.
