I specialize in relationship conflict and work with individuals, couples, and families who want to understand what's underneath the conflict and learn how to respond differently. That might mean working on your marriage, navigating life transitions, struggling with parenting or family relationships, or coming to therapy on your own because you feel stuck.
I'm pretty laid back and conversational as a therapist. I'm not interested in sitting silently and occasionally asking, “How does that make you feel?” I want therapy to be a place where you can be honest, laugh when things are funny, talk about the hard stuff, and leave with a better understanding of yourself and what you can actually do differently.
It's easy to focus on what someone else needs to change—and sometimes they do need to change—but we have a lot more influence over our relationships when we understand our own part in the pattern. We'll focus on the things you actually have the power to do something about so you can build relationships that feel healthier, more honest, and more connected.
