About
Day to day life can be challenging! When you add symptoms of depression, anxiety or have experienced trauma or hardships this can make day to day life even more strenuous. Naturally we are not born knowing how to navigate stressful, traumatic, losses or a flood of various strong feelings alone. Attempting to navigate or short it out yourself can result into a vicious cycle. I view a therapeutic relationship as a collaboration, where together we process how your personal qualities, values, strengths can be an assistance to you.
I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker with experience in working with adults who are experiencing a wide variety of challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, trauma and life transitions. I can assist you through education, insight and skill building to reduce distress and work towards building effective coping strategies.
My therapeutic approach is collaborative. I utilize evidence-based psychotherapy approaches that best suits you, including CBT, DBT and EMDR. I strive to provide a therapeutic environment that is trauma informed, empathetic, supportive, non-judgmental and safe. This environment assists one in building better understanding, self-compassion and coping skills.
