About
As a counselor, my primary clinical focus is upon eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia, & binge-eating) & body image; trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), & dissociative disorders; anxiety disorders (generalized anxiety, social anxiety, & panic attacks) and healthy aging and life transitions. I utilize the evidence based treatments of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) as well as psychodynamic therapy. My goal is to provide support, empathic listening and insight to manage symptoms and live healthier, happier and more empowered lives. I believe that most people are more similar than they are different. I seek to understand how I can help those struggling to navigate their lives.
I have gained over ten years of experience through clinical roles ranging from inpatient to outpatient levels of care. I obtained my master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Santa Barbara with a speciality in Healthy Aging (MACP Healthy Aging).
