About

Are you high achieving and successful, but struggle with an inner voice that tells you that you'll never be good enough? You may work extra hard to combat this critical inner voice with overworking. Yet you're left feeling empty and insignificant at the end of the day. The adolescents and adults that I see often struggle with managing difficult emotions, anxiety, depression, and/or challenging behaviors. They have often experienced painful things in the past that they have buried. Often my clients struggle to pinpoint a specific event from their past that has impacted them.
Sometimes when things are deeply painful, we learn to bury them. Unfortunately this only works for so long before individuals are haunted by their pasts. I view my clients as intelligent, curious, and resourceful individuals who have survived difficult life experiences. With the right support, they are able to thrive.
You don't have to do this alone. I strive to provide a safe, supportive environment where things move at a pace that is right for each individual client. When individuals feel safe, seen, and heard, they feel more able to process difficult emotions and painful experiences from the past.

Natalie LeQuang's Groups

Becoming Safely Embodied

Many trauma survivors fear their own bodies. Through nine skills, Becoming Safely Embodied provides a guide to help clients learn to calm their nervous systems, change thoughts, feelings, and body sensations to provide positive experiences, separate the past from the present, understand the parallel lives lived by trauma survivors, learn ways to work with traumatized parts of self, gain control of familiar physiological responses and find new choices, and to find new ways of seeing current life circumstances.

More about this group

Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Skills Group

Sometimes in therapy words fail. Either we don’t have the words to describe our experience or we have told the narrative over and over and things don’t seem to resolve. Our bodies have inherent wisdom that tells the story of our adverse experiences where words fall short in healing. This group will provide psychoeducation on the body and its importance in the therapeutic process. Often times we can see our body as the enemy or as betraying us, however our body responds in the way it was meant to in order to help us get through difficult experiences.

Interpersonal Process Group

This is a group for individuals of all genders who are looking to work through past adverse experiences in a group environment. Each group member is required to be in individual therapy, but that therapist does not need to be a therapist at Safe Haven Trauma Services. This group is for those who feel ready to work through past adverse experiences with the support of a group. Experiential elements will be included in the group. This group is appropriate for those with trauma or complex trauma. Safety will be an emphasis of the group dynamic.
