As a therapist, I aim to provide my clients with a safe, nonjudgmental environment for them to explore their thoughts, behaviors, and emotional experience. My approach focuses on empowering clients to explore their inner strengths and resources to enable them to navigate their concerns and stressors, and to take steps toward living a life in the ways that are meaningful to them. With each client bringing their unique experiences to therapy, I tailor each session to the individual needs of the client.
My therapeutic approach is client-centered, existential, and cognitive-behavioral. Some of my areas of interest include working with clients experiencing the effects of grief and loss, anxiety, depression, social inequities, and trauma. I also have specialized training working with clients who are experiencing co-occurring substance use and mental health.
Reaching out for support regarding mental health can be an overwhelming — and powerful —first step within the therapeutic process. I believe meeting a client where they are at in their journey and providing them with a warm and empathic connection is the place where healing and growth begins.
