What matters more than what you know is how much you care. I believe that statement embodies who I am and what I bring to practice. I have worked with a wide range of ages and populations, not just kids/teens but adults too! My experience includes helping those struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD, divorce/parenting/blended families, grief/loss, aging, women's concerns, surviving various forms of abuse, autism, intellectual disabilities, immigration issues, and even navigating college/career processes. I have worked as a school counselor, a school-based therapist, and now am serving in practice. I enjoy working with all ages!
I offer a client-centered approach, meeting people where they are, hearing where they want to be, and helping to determine what roadblocks are in the way. I utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness & guided meditation, exploring relationship patterns, evaluating self-limiting behaviors. W/ kids: DBT, play & behavior-based approaches.
Clients can expect to feel understood and supported while working together to determine real-life solutions that fit their needs. I believe that cultural & familial dynamics are important factors therapeutically. Self-discovery/evaluation and a growth mindset are key to the work we do.
