You read the room before you've taken off your coat. You're already adjusting — your tone, your timing, how much space you take up — before anyone has asked you to. You say yes but feel the no somewhere in your chest. You give more than you receive in most of your relationships. You're drawn to people who need you — which feels like love but functions like a job. Their disappointment lives in your body. Their distress feels like something you're supposed to fix. The roots of these patterns are deep, likely created in early relationships with emotionally immature parents, where your nervous system learned to be hypervigilant.
I specialize in codependency, overfunctioning, and people-pleasing rooted in developmental trauma. Using EMDR, IFS and somatic approaches, this work reaches below behavior, into the nervous system and the body, where these patterns were originally laid down. I support clients in moving from organizing around others to trusting their own internal compass.
The person who has spent years being there for everyone else often finds it hardest to ask for support. It makes sense — that difficulty is itself part of what the work addresses. You don't need to arrive with anything figured out. Let's have a free 20-minute consultation is a chance to ask questions and decide together if the fit is right.

Twelve years of full-time coaching — including the ICF Master Certified Coach credential, held by under 4 percent of coaches worldwide — preceded my clinical training. Coaching couldn't reach the early relational patterns in the nervous system. Clinical training gave me the tools to go there.

Codependency, trauma, and anxiety rarely arrive separately. Codependency is what the nervous system learned to do in relationships. The anxiety is often a sign of a nervous system that has learned to stay on high alert. The developmental trauma of growing up with emotionally immature parents is often where it started. This is the territory I work in.

My work draws on IFS, EMDR, somatic, and attachment-based approaches — not because more is better, but because the patterns most clients bring are held in several places at once. The goal is to reach below insight, into the body and nervous system, where these patterns actually live.
